Pro-Second Amendment Rally, Texas Capitol, Noon Sat. Jan 19

Join us at the Texas State Capitol in Austin for a family friendly, pro-second amendment rally to affirm your right to bear arms.

The event begins at noon on the North Side of the Capitol this Saturday, January 19th.

Confirmed Speakers: Sheriff Richard Mack; TX Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson; TX Rep. Steve Toth; Eric Reed - National Coordinator for Guns Across America Events; Adrian Murray - Texas Political Activist; Alan LaFrance - Texas Gun Talk; Ralph Patterson - TX Rep. Co. Chair and Gun Rights Proponent; Toby Marie Walker - Tea Party & Political Activist.

Lawn chairs are allowed, just try not to block sidewalks or doorways. :)

Parking is available at the Capitol parking garage (we believe it is free on the weekend).

Please do not bring long guns or openly carry on the Capitol grounds, however if you have your CHL you are permitted to carry. CHL holders can carry inside the Capitol - in case you need to go inside for the facilities. - The Capitol Police have asked people to not bring their long guns to the event, there is another event on the South steps that day and we don't want to alarm anyone.

Signs are welcome, please remember to have positive, family friendly messages.

We respect your right to free speech, and trust that you will use it wisely (we believe that responsible gun owners would never use vulgar, racist, threatening, or offensive language - just a friendly reminder to keep the event fun for everyone).

I was there, never saw basil but looked for her. I took pictures of the signs to tell ya’ll.

I don’t need a 30 round magazine to hunt deer, I need it to oppose the coming tyranny.

A BIG beautiful banner saying, “what part of shall not be infringed DON’T YOU UNDERSTAND?”
They were asked to go to the front and face the crowd. We had been close to them and since my sign ALSO said, “2A shall not be infringed” he said to me, this is the “not infringed area” and I said I think the whole crowd is too!

The other side of my sign said,
“The Constitution says NO! Dec 15, 1791. “

Hubby carried the Come and take it flag with traditional cannon. (saw many with the cannon replaced with AK47.

Marine son carried the Marine Flag. Helped us keep up with each other. And Jerry Patterson likes to see a marine flag out in the crowd.

Other signs were:
