He's surrendered the Cold War (had a 'reset' and everything, even showed the neoCommies our missile sites) and has assisted in the Soviet Reunion by turning our back on our allies and supporting Communist regimes.

Fair enough, but to squander is to “waste in a reckless and foolish manner”, “allow (an opportunity) to pass or be lost”. And the jackass essentially pissed on the sacrifices made. But I won’t argue against treason.
