Guandique seems to be a career criminal and an illegal alien. But I thought a few years ago that he was being used as a scapegoat in the Levy case, and this seems to be what might be unfolding. And isn't it very convenient for the powers that be to have a scapegoat for a crime that more likely was committed by a high-ranking Democratic politician and his hired goon(s). It's called a cover-up.

Remember the Vince Foster "suicide"? The body of the deceased in that case was also found in a DC area park and the same US Park Police had the initial jurisdiction.

Should Guandique's conviction be reversed, that would push the Levy murder investigation back to square one. In that event, it's quite apparent where the focus of a renewed investigation should be.

Maybe. Maybe not. We had that one down to Gary Condit driving around in the Blue Ridge and stopping somewhere to make a phone call, and a secret burial, and a bunch of other stuff ~ then they found exculpating evidence, then some time later her bones showed up, and then this idiot confessed in the jailhouse.

Naw, I think Gary didn't do it that time ~ and most likely won't do it again, so there!

I'm biased towards the idea that a jail house confession is as good as anything ~
