Ron Paul tweets about SEAL sniper’s death: ‘He who lives by the sword dies by the sword’
The Daily Caller ^ | 2/4/2013

Former congressman and libertarian icon Ron Paul tweeted a startling reaction to the death of SEAL sniper Chris Kyle on Monday:

'Chris Kyle's death seems to confirm that "he who lives by the sword dies by the sword." Treating PTSD at a firing range doesn't make sense'

Not really startling, I’m afraid. It’s typical Ron Paul.

Paul seems to be in bed with the left-wing anti-war crowd.

But here’s how I feel.

Chris Kyle and all of our military deserve to be part of actions that are fought in the tradition of Generals like Patton and LeMay.

The United States has been fighting in police actions under the rules of international law since World War II.

Our soldiers fight under “rules of engagement” with their hands tied behind their back.

The ‘wars’ in Iraq and Afghanistan are United Nations sanctioned police actions.

Military units of various nations are now used to police the world for “world order” and not to defeat enemies completely on battlefields.

Iran now has a Shia government in Iraq under its thumb and Pakistan harbors the Taliban fighting in Afghanistan.

Those nations (Iran and Pakistan) should have gotten the Patton-LeMay treatment, but won’t and never will with the Democrat and RINO Republican leadership in the Nixon-Carter-Bush-Clinton-Obama tradition.

We are fighting UN wars now, not American wars and to oppose UN wars causes RINO’s to question patriotism.

I’ve got my patriotism and want my soliders to fight for America, not the UN force in Afghanistan called ISAF.

I like Rand Paul very and think he might make an excellent President; however, sometimes, I pause and wonder how far the apple has fallen from the tree. Hopefully, very far in this case.

No need to bother here. Better to save the link to it in order to pull it out of our back pockets whenever Ron Paul supporters show up on other threads.

This, more than anything, says what Ron Paul is about. His followers think he is a peacenik, but there seem to be only two countries’ wars he despises: the USA and Israel. He is no patriot. He may have been at one time, but he went off the rails.

I searched. What can I say?

Simple searches are the best. There are many different headlines, often for the same article since some papers like to write their own.

Think of one or two words that almost everyone would put in the title.

sniper

Also, search with the upper right hand corner search and set it to 'title.'

“But he does raise a good point as to why is he helping treat PTSD at a shooting range. Anybody have any ideas?”

Yes... this AM on Fox & Friends, a close friend of the XNavy Seal mentioned that it helps tremendously to assist the person with PTSD to accompany him/her to do something familiar. He said it’s like taking an X basketball star to shoot hoops. You want to put the person back into an area of his life that he was trained skillfully for and that he would have been comfortable doing. The man I saw this AM was very sincere in that statement, as they asked him exactly your question.

Wait a second! Is this even real.

Ron Paul has always been capable of a degree of nuttiness. This kind of response isn't eccentric. It's insane.

Some people have to live “by the sword” to protect those who don’t.The sad thing is he is kinda right, you join a high-risk occupation and you are quite likely to die from it,the way he expressed it was just callous.
