The existing laws already cover what they are replicating to give the appearing of "doing something". I purchased a rifle from a WA dealer and had to shipped to my FFL in ID to do the paperwork. As an ID resident, I can't buy or sell a firearm inside CA. Neither can a CA resident buy or sell outside CA. I can drive to Las Vegas, NV and purchase a long gun since ID has a border contiguous with NV. In theory, I could take that long gun (bolt action) back to CA. I could not bring an AR-15 in CA. A handgun "imported" into CA must be "registered" within 60 days. There are piles of laws already on the books. We really don't need more.

And if that rifle was not legal in Idaho your FFL could not have given it to you. Right?
