Attacking one of the very few good conservative in the Senate is not at all helpful to the conservative cause

"Sen. Rand Paul tells The Brody File that he will only vote for comprehensive immigration reform if the U.S. border is secured first before any sort of “probationary legal status.

"He wants to see annual border security reports delivered to Congress by an independent agency before he will even entertain the idea of temporary legal status for illegal immigrants.

I see you've drunk the Paulbot kool-aid. Libertarian does not = conservative. There's a lot of overlap on economic issues but the "Ron Paul rLOVEution" types differ greatly from conservatives on social and defense issues. Rand Paul is too close to dear old dad's views to be trusted by conservatives. Applauding him WHEN he is conservative and pointing out where he differs from conservatives is not "attacking him", it is telling the truth. Rand Paul holds non-conservative views on multiple issues from Israel to immigration. Claiming he's "one of the very few good conservatives in the Senate" doesn't make it so.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, so did Simpson-Mazzoli when they passed the 1986 amnesty (in fact, it was called the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, despite the fact it obviously did NOT"secure the borders") George W. Bush promised the same thing in the 2000s. So did John McCain. ("'ll build the goddamned fence if they want it.") Obama's also claiming to secure the border. They all claim their "comprehensive" immigration "reform" will secure the border. Show me any amnesty advocate who pledges "I will grant amnesty while the borders are wide open and millions of people can continue to flood in here". None of them would say that because it would politically suicidal. Every single one of them pledges to "Secure the border first". None of them do so, making it as useful as Washington politicians all claiming to be "fiscally conservative". The fact Rand Paul broke his "no amnesty" campaign promise and is even discussing crafting legislation to create a "path to citizenship" for illegals when our border is so screwed up shows that he sold out. If you can't see that, too bad. Lucy will continue to pull the football away from you every time.
