I agree. Dorner probably deserved to die, but there should have been a public trial.

Shoulda woulda coulda.... The problem is Dorner himself broadcasted to the world he wouldn't be taken alive and would take out as many cops as he possibly could and he already made good on it.

These are real clear statements by someone who'd already murdered unarmed innocent people simple because he lost a job. And during the shootout in the Big Bear area, he continued killing people, making good on his own statements.

We either have due process or we don’t. We’re either above our police just executing someone before trial or we’re not. Why don’t you go look at Brazil to see how that works out. Rob a bank? Police kill you. Kidnap someone? Police kill you. You want that? Go live in Brazil.
