I don’t think he’s lost his voice at all. I think he’s been in a coma; hooked up to life support. He can’t talk because he’s out of it. My humble opinion.

He’s either been out of it or downright dead for a long time, and they can’t cover it up anymore.

A few weeks ago, the Spanish press published a photo of him, hooked up to tubes and clearly non compos, which had been smuggled out of Cuba by a Spanish woman who had visited a relative who was working as a nurse in Chavez’ special ward (in the special government dignitaries hospital, set up for Castro’s “health episodes”). The Venezuelan government threatened to sue, but it was a pretty half hearted threat, since they all knew that he was either dead or about one-10th of a step from death’s door.

I think he has been dead for a while now. Because of the recent election, The ruse of Chavez in the hospital for treatment has been used to placate the opposition.

I would guess that the ruling party is feeling confident in its ability to rule, so the decision has been made to allow Chavez to, ‘die’.
