A nonexistent crisis is a terrible thing to waste, and in justifying his proposal for a cap-and-tax scheme, President Obama claimed in his State Of The Union that "the 12 hottest years on record have all come in the last 15." He was lying.
The fact is, according to new data released quietly last October by Britain's Met Office, the world's natural post-Ice Age warming trend stopped about 16 years ago. From the beginning of 1997 until August 2012, there was no discernible rise in aggregate global temperatures.
Undaunted by the truth, Obama claimed, again falsely, "Heat waves, droughts, wildfires, floods, all are now more frequent and more intense." But, for example, as Marc Morano documents at Climate Depot, all of the world's most devastating floods occurred before 1976.
The U.S. has been experiencing less and less drought since the Dust Bowl of the 1930s. Deaths due to extreme weather are radically declining, global tropical cyclone activity is near historic lows, and the frequency of major U.S. hurricanes has declined.
President Obama linked Superstorm Sandy to climate change, yet Roger Pielke, professor of environmental studies at the University of Colorado-Boulder, writes: "The U.S. is currently experiencing the longest-ever recorded period with no strikes of a Category 3 or stronger hurricane."
As for tornadoes, Pielke reports: "Over the past six decades, tornado damage has declined after accounting for development that has put more property into harm's way."
Astonishingly, the president invoked an emission-belching China as our role model in fighting climate change, saying that "countries like China keep going all-in on clean energy."

He always paints a picture of disaster - and only Obama himself can save us from destruction...while all along he is plotting that very instant where the US is vulnerable and will collapse...
I would like to thank all the illiterates, entitlement junkies, lack of GOP strength/leadership, and liberal minded socialist pigs for voting for this train wreck - the damage he does will accomplish and set the US back decades if he is stopped now or at the end of his 2nd term...and for me to actually type “2nd term” is a BIG STEP for me...but his lies - underhandedness - and vile determination to bring the US to its knees makes a Obama a Clear and Present Danger - those of us that have prepared - are trained - and ready - will survive. Those of us that have the lambs blood on our doors - will survive. Those of us that know we will rebuild this nation to it’s former glory - will survive.
Those reading this post - need to dig deep and ask yourself if you are going to survive what is coming.
That, and building Solar Energy equipment that they have no intention of using (since they know only a fool would use it as a means to provide energy to the masses), but are more than happy to sell it to the chumps in the West who are wedded to 'Green Energy' concepts - costs be damned. I am sure they are 'all-in' to separate fools from their money...
Oh yeah - China is all about freedoms - clean air - & unicorns...
I guess he thinks - or knows - that those that support him never question him or actually get on the Internet and check his statements???

Yes, California is run by a bunch of unscrupulous crooks (the same can be said for Washington D.C.), and the Environmental movement not only destroys economies, it also champions policies that are bad for the environment.
