“There would be no need to deny the burn out was deliberate, and intended to kill Dorner, if there was no risk of legal fallout for that mode of deadly force. “

The thing that disturbs me here is the police have not said, or shown, they gave Dorner any kind of final warning before using incendiary munitions. If they’d clearly given him a 5, 3, or 1 minute warning to come out or be burned out, then I’d have no problem. However, it just appears they chose to incinerate him and now they’re lying about their motivation for using the incendiary munitions, saying they didn’t intend to burn him out, although that’s exactly what they did intend to do, given the munitions. Hence, they’re getting into a lot of trouble they could have easily avoided at no real risk to themselves.

He. was. shooting. at. them.

And his own manifesto said he wasn't going to be taken alive.

Why do you give so little credence to the fact that Dorner had killed one deputy at that location when trying to bolt, had wounded another, and continued to shoot at the LEOs? He was using lethal force, and the LEOs were justified under any sane scenario in reponding in kind.

There is insignificant probability of the police being held accountable for their actions, in this case.

I don't think they gave any warning to the paper delivery people, and the fellow (Surfer) who was shot at was first told, by the police, that he was free to go. He went, then he was rammed and shot at by a different officer from the same police force.

My general advice is just to watch, be critical of what you hear (from all sides), and form your own independent opinion.

I personally don't find the police to be credible. It's a self-serving fraternity.
