I don’t get this whole vacation thing.

Presidents take more vacation in one term than most Americans take in 20 years.

They don’t need that much vacation. Especially for what we pay them.

I wish politicians would take more vacations, in fact, I would suggest them taking a permanent vacation.

Indeed! The last time I could afford a vacation Dubya was in office. Why am I subsidizing an office holder who presumably serves at the will of the people to live like royalty off the backs of the people? If they want vacations let them cover costs of their transportation and security too. That's what the other rich and famous folks do.

I'd like to see the next conservative candidate for president put no taxpayer funded vacations on his platform.

Exactly right. However, the pay is minuscule in comparison the the extravagant daily life the first family lives. Every day is a vacation for these grifters. They each have large staffs for personal and professional needs. Their meals are prepared by a vast kitchen staff, drivers and security at the snap of a finger. Their staff does all their shopping for clothes, groceries, personal. Moochie has a personal hairdresser and manicurist. What the hell do they need to get away from?
