Inquiry on Democratic Senator (Menendez) Started With a Partisan Push
New York Times ^ | February 16, 2013 | ERIC LIPTON

FALLS CHURCH, Va. — Sandwiched between two doctors’ offices at a roadside plaza here is the headquarters of a small team of veteran Republican investigators, operating almost as a private detective squad, who since late last year have had a determined goal: bringing down Senator Robert Menendez, Democrat of New Jersey.

“We’ve never sent a Democrat to jail,” said Ken Boehm, the chairman of the group, the National Legal and Policy Center, as he looked up from a table filled with his Menendez files and engaged in what was to him a bit of wishful thinking.

To Mr. Menendez and his staff, the work going on at this suburban Washington office suite, paid for by donations from prominent Republicans nationwide, is proof that the news media frenzy focusing on his actions to help a Florida eye doctor is at least in part a political smear.

But the results have been troubling revelations. Those documented by The New York Times, The Washington Post and other newspapers involve serious accusations of favoritism by the senator.

In recent weeks, Mr. Menendez has acknowledged intervening with at least four federal agencies — including the Departments of State and Health and Human Services — in ways that stood to benefit his friend and campaign contributor Dr. Salomon E. Melgen, who is under investigation by federal authorities for possible Medicare fraud.

But the way Mr. Menendez first came under broader scrutiny, at a minimum, illustrates the often-hidden role that partisan players have in helping push the major news media to dig into ethical allegations lodged against sitting members of Congress.

The NYT has no more creditability that the National Enquirer thanks to their pandering to Democrats in the Age of Obama.

The under-aged hookers just want to get paid. Nothing partisan about that.

so, 3/4 of the NYT readers will stop reading when they see that it was a “partisan smear” ignoring that it also happens to all be true

By far, the best way to be rid of Menendez is to insist that when he is being discussed in public, that he is always identified as a pedophile.

He is a pedophile, and the more the public realizes it, the more they will turn against him. Which is why, of course, his allies are doing everything in their power to distract from him being labeled this way.

Importantly, there is also a profile of pedophiles as relates to their other behavior. Menendez likely has a large library of child pornography. He also likely sees all underage females as potential prey, so should never be left alone with them.

And most importantly, he likely belongs to a pedophile network. Not just other pedophiles, but those who seek to influence or blackmail him because of his perversion.

If you consider that this also makes him a major target for foreign intelligence agencies, it also means that he should no longer have any access at all to classified government information.

To libs, the end justifies the means. Always.

Unless the ends are dtrimental to them.

Then, “even though we have found the charges that these Republicans dug up to be true, we must emphasize that the way they found out the truth was througha wishful smear campaign funded by shadowy Republicans across the country.”

“Now, having made that clear, we can start discussing the actual charges — and OUR efforts to eventually investigate them — in the fourth paragraph.”

“You see, Woodward and Bernstein were just doggedly trying to dig out the truth of Watergate. In this story, it’s investigators with an axe to grind against a Democrat. Oh... P.S.: the allegations are true.” -NYT.

That is a vile and completely unwarranted characterization of The National Enquirer.

Is this satire?

The NY Times is extremely concerned how some partisan political organization is driving this Menendez story. So, they turn to Citizens for Responsibility and Melanie Sloan, as some sort of unbiased expert on political crimes and media.

Then there's the idea that a “Newspaper” which is owned by the Left and itself specializes in partisan reporting is now so concerned about partisan groups promoting certain stories? LOL!

“His targets are almost always Democrats.” (Boehm)

Maybe because the Dems are such a target rich environment.

Keep up the good work Mr. Boehm.

You can call me what you will, but I do think you can see evil in some people, and this perv with a child sex kink looks that way to me. He looks souless just like that Hagel ghoul looks.

I think they are all rotten to the core and are festering in their personal perversions of choice.

This is the new norm and how they do it:

The left-wing press ignores a valid story harmful to their side, wait for a right-leaning press organization to pick it up, then claim the story is invalid because of “partisanship”. It’s brilliant.

He looks souless just like that Hagel ghoul looks.

You see that in these people don't you, virtually all of them in Washington or Hollywood and definitely in the media.

They pose and fake and lie so continually they become empty shells, like evil golems.
