Obama doubled down on gun control during the sequester presser.

He is going to hammer at this for the next 4 years.
Midterms are going to be critical in our fight.

Happy Sequesteria Day n’@!

Expected that Bob Woodward is getting trashed—bu I hope that Rush mentions that today is the one year anniversary of Breitbart’s passing. Ironic that Woodward is in the crosshairs today.

Darnit, I just got in from 3am chores and missed the whole morning’s info-dump. Need to catch-up to make sense of it all. Is there a “Cliff Notes” version lurking around?

Thanks for the Ping, Bg!

Why do they have to wait for him to die?

Oh, that’s right, so they can lie without being challenged.

lol, obama is busted. He was counting on the sequestor. No WONDER he wants it to be as painful as possible. He’s using the sequestor to get his “grand bargain” (that includes everything he wants).

Posted this on another thread but figured I would post it here too as recognition of Happy Sequestration Day!

Senator Reid’s Track Record on Spending:

FY 2008:
Revenue - $2524 Billion
Spending - $2982 Billion
Surplus or Deficit - $458 Billion DEFICIT

FY 2009:
Revenue - $2105 Billion
Spending - $3518 Billion
Surplus or Deficit - $1413 Billion DEFICIT

FY 2010:
Revenue - $2163 Billion
Spending - $3456 Billion
Surplus or Deficit - $1293 Billion DEFICIT

FY 2011:
Revenue - $2304 Billion
Spending - $3603 Billion
Surplus or Deficit - $1299 Billion DEFICIT

So over those four years of Pelosi and Reid’s Congressional Leadership, they signed off on $4463 BILLION of money that we did not have! They did this right in the middle of a recession. The most outlandish numbers? In FY 2009, we took in $2105 BILLION (The lowest amount since 2004). We KNEW this number, yet we spent $3518 BILLION!!! And NOW we need to “raise revenue” to reverse our situation? NO! All “raising more revenue” will do is provide an excuse for spending even more!!!

We currently have baseline budgeting which means whatever SPENDING was for the previous year, that is where the budget STARTS for the next year. I would be for one of two things to happen immediately.

1) Do away with baseline budgeting

2) At least use REVENUE instead of SPENDING for the baseline with a maximum of a 10% deficit.

Statement made on the OMB of the White House website. Obama probably has "no idea" that this is on there:

The President's Budget for Fiscal Year 2013

We now face a make-or-break moment for the middle class and those trying to reach it. After decades of eroding middle-class security as those at the very top saw their incomes rise as never before and after a historic recession that plunged our economy into a crisis from which we are still fighting to recover, it is time to construct an economy that is built to last.

The President’s 2013 Budget is built around the idea that our country does best when everyone gets a fair shot, does their fair share, and plays by the same rules. We must transform our economy from one focused on speculating, spending, and borrowing to one constructed on the solid foundation of educating, innovating, and building. That begins with putting the Nation on a path to living within our means – by cutting wasteful spending, asking all Americans to shoulder their fair share, and making tough choices on some things we cannot afford, while keeping the investments we need to grow the economy and create jobs. The Budget targets scarce federal resources to the areas critical to growing the economy and restoring middle-class security: education and skills for American workers, innovation and research and development, clean energy, and infrastructure.

The Budget is a blueprint for how we can rebuild an economy where hard work pays off and responsibility is rewarded.

Construct an economy that is built to last?

Making tough choices on some things we cannot afford?

Cutting wasteful spending?

Um....YOU SPENT YOUR FIRST TERM INSTITUTING OBAMACARE! SOMETHING A MAJORITY OF AMERICANS DID NOT WANT AND KNEW WE COULDN'T AFFORD!!
