A new Ice Age is creeping over the Northern Hemisphere, and the rest of this century will grow colder and colder, a British expert on climate says.
Prof. Hubert Lamb, director of climate research at the University of East Anglia, had a few comforting thoughts in an interview Sunday :
"The full impact of the new Ice Age will not be upon us for another 10.000 years and even then it will not be as severe as the last great glacial period.
"We are past the best of the inter-glacial period which happened between 7.000 and 3.000 years ago," he continued.
"Ever since then we have been on a downhill float regarding temperature. There may ahve been a few upward fluctuations from time to time but these are more than offset by the general downward trend."

well...i actually do believe this. If we follow the past patterns based on the geologic record we are in for some brutal cold times...which will bring about a famine on a scale that is too scary to imagine.

Given this is so.....let’s all think of the money that could be made by forcing people into the investment and backing of global warming and carbon credits-— directed by the very people who have the most carbon (in all reality)— the oil world.
Remarkable- and leave it to Golden Slacks (goldman sachs) to pitch the next massive bubble and kill millions in the process.
The dodge now in all this is to call it “climate change” which of course climate has been changing for eternity and will....until our sun supernovas.
We’ll see a widespread migration of people toward the equator, and if I’m not mistaken, increase of polar glaciation will equate to a more temperate equator, and as such, large deserts like the Sahara and the Gobi will become habitable.
Winter Storms happen in winter whether they name them or not. Hurricanes (Atlantic) and Typhoons (Pacific) happen in their seasons long before someone said "Global Warming".
We have better forecasts and better warnings than ever before and folks use them to promote panic constantly these days.

It is a crying shame that science has become as corrupt as politics thanks to the money which can be redistributed by scare tactics.
If you give me free reign to select any two points in global history, I can give you proof positive of global cooling or global warming. Just tell me what you want and which will generate the most number of dollars extorted by fear.

We are still in an “ice age.” Permanent ice, as it exists in the ice caps on Greenland and Antarctica, are estimated to have existed for only about 5% of earth’s history. Most of the time, the earth is a much warmer and steamier place.
A couple other things of note for routine discussion with the “man-made climate change” crowd. Just mention “Medieval Warm Period” and “Interglacial Period.” In the Medieval Warm Period from about 850 A.D. to 1300 A.D., the Vikings raised cattle in Greenland and grapes in Labrador. No one does this today. It’s too cold.
For “Interglacial Period” you go back 70,000 years; where I am in the midwest was under a mile thick sheet of ice. The world was a much colder place then.
The climate is not constant and always will change. There is no “optimal climate.” No scientist really knows why either of these two events took place but one thing is certain; man had NOTHING to do with either of them. It is a high form of sin to think that man can control what happens on this world.
Actually, we’re in the same old Ice Age and awaiting a fresh glaciation - we’re just enjoying our inter-glacial breather...
The US and Euro governments will be back on the Global Cooling bandwagon just as soon as they can figure out a way to construct a fiscal financial bubble based upon the global cooling catastrophe.
Oh, I don’t think the earth has that long before the Judgment. The godless should be more concerned about spending eternity in the fires of Hell.
Amen, I am with you on this. I stopped listening to all of this nonsense years ago (and I include the medical stuff in with this, whenever an outbreak of flu or something, is exaggerated).
I am now old enough to remember, very well, all the hysteria over "global cooling" and how we were going into another Ice Age. This was back in the 70's, I think. Followed by "global warming"; then followed by "Climate Change"(cause when you call it "climate change",no matter what, you are right). Enough already!
I came to the conclusion, some years ago, that the government, aided and abetted by the media, wants to keep us hysterical because it is easier for them to take away our freedoms when we are scared.
..... Of course this article would be much more interesting if it was at least written within this current century and not ..... Sept 9. 1972 ...... This thing is 41 years old!!!
