Morbid find suggests murder-obsessed gunman Adam Lanza plotted Newtown, Conn.'s Sandy Hook massacre for years

Law enforcement reportedly discovers a sickeningly thorough 7-foot-long, 4-foot-wide spreadsheet with names, body counts and weapons from previous mass murders and even attempted killings. 'It sounded like a doctoral thesis, that was the quality of the research,' an anonymous law enforcement veteran said.

It is three months since the killings in Newtown, since 20 children and six adults were gunned down at Sandy Hook Elementary School less than two weeks before Christmas. And as bad as the story was, and will always be, it is even worse than we originally knew because now we discover that this was slaughter by spreadsheet. It has been reported previously that law enforcement found research about previous mass murderers at the Newtown, Conn., home the shooter, video gamer Adam Lanza, shared with his mother, the first victim of Dec. 14. It was more than that, and worse than that.

What investigators found was a chilling spreadsheet 7 feet long and 4 feet wide that required a special printer, a document that contained Lanza’s obsessive, extensive research — in nine-point font — about mass murders of the past, and even attempted murders.

But it wasn’t just a spreadsheet. It was a score sheet.

“We were told (Lanza) had around 500 people on this sheet,” a law enforcement veteran told me Saturday night. “Names and the number of people killed and the weapons that were used, even the precise make and model of the weapons. It had to have taken years. It sounded like a doctoral thesis, that was the quality of the research.”

The law enforcement vet attended the International Association of Police Chiefs and Colonels mid-year meeting in New Orleans last week, a conference where state police colonels share...

Like someone on another thread said, all the gun control in the world wouldn’t have stopped this moron from killing people.

In other words, no amount of gun control would have stopped this guy. He was determined to kill lots of people.

From “Dear Mr. Security Agent”
http://westernrifleshooters.wordpress.com/2013/01/07/bracken-dear-mr-security-agent/

5. If it bleeds, it leads: The media love maniacs.
The same media that pointedly ignore frequent life-saving defensive uses of firearms consistently pours hours and days and weeks of attention upon the latest maniac who chooses a firearm as his tool of mass murder, so that the next potential insane villain cannot fail to notice the easy path to fame and immortality that the misuse of a gun can bring. But the greatest fame will only attach if they can beat the previous body-count record, a number constantly and loudly broadcast, so that no one can fail to hear it.

The message to the unstable is clear: Come on, you crazy guys, can’t you at least murder your way to thirty? The Virginia Polytechnic Institute madman is still leading the lone-wolf pack, but college students might resist, so maybe find an easier target to rack up higher numbers. Find a killing zone with younger and more helpless victims. The media’s lesson was clear, and it was well learned by Adam Lanza when he set out to slaughter helpless little lambs instead of bigger and tougher sheep.

The mainstream media pour a Niagara of crocodile tears over the most recent child victims, after doing everything for the killer but sign his name to their pre-written script. With such fanfare, is it any wonder that there is no lack of new monsters playing “beat the kill record” on a regular basis? It’s almost become a recurring television reality show.

No, but perhaps spreadsheet control would have!

That's it - no more spreadsheets with more than 10 columns. More than 10 columns qualifies it as an ‘assault spreadsheet.” No one needs a spread sheet nine feet long to keep track of their household items. All spreadsheets should be licensed, and no transfers of spreadsheets among private individuals without a background check!

(Don't gun laws sound even more stupid when you apply them to other things!)

So a 500 name sheet? Interesting. Good to see this information finally coming out.

The Conspiracy theorists wonder if Lanza was just a tool of the CPUSA.

They must confiscate our guns before they can take over. And Newtown was a big help in that direction.

No gun control...no takeover.

This is the pivot point of the Communists.

If they can't disarm us...they can't beat us.

Have been researching the last name of Seevakumaran (perp last name in Florida stopped before attack this AM) and am finding strangely no information. According to everything have checked today ... there is nobody living in the US with this last name.

The media love maniacs.

A Question Travis ...
Have been researching the last name of Seevakumaran (perp last name in Florida stopped before attack this AM) and am finding strangely no information. According to everything have checked today ... there is nobody living in the US with this last name.

Not saying a ruse is being run (yet) but the above has me questioning is there something going on we aren't being told. I realize this is always the case with our lame-stream drive bys but is there something else being missed on the report out of Florida?
