The “public school” is the Bus Ministry of the State Church of Humanism.
The “public school”, including the “charter school”, is BY FAR, the largest, most expensive, most subversive, and most destructive entitlement program in the country.
The “public school” is better understood as the “government school collective”.
It is silly to imagine that you can fix the public schools, because the very concept itself is collectivist.
It is hypocritical to submit your children to an authority with whom you fundamentally disagree. Children do not trust hypocrites, so this will undermine your own authority, let alone influence, with your children.
Any child that comes out of the government school collective with their moral compass and common sense intact does so in spite of the government school indoctrination, not because of it.

If you want to win the culture war, have lots of children (see my tagline) and homeschool them or form your own school cooperative with your church or synagogue and like-minded friends and relatives.
Nobody loves your children more than you do.
Nobody can teach your children better than you can.
Nobody knows your children better than you do.
Your children would love nothing better than to be taught by you, if you start doing so before they are corrupted by the government school collective.
If you have children, make whatever sacrifices you must to get them out of the public schools.
DO NOT FEED THE BEAST!

And DO NOT TAKE GOVERNMENT “EDUCATION” MONEY!

There is more than meets the eye to this "gay is good" onslaught. The actual percentage of "practicing" homosexuals is quite small, and it is also not a stable number, as people decide to be "gay" and then often decide not to any more. Since it is a behavior, and not a set in stone identity, many people do leave, and more would if they knew that they weren't born that way.
So, why are we now being force fed faggotry like geese being fattened for slaughter?
Part of communist/socialist/revolutionary plans to utterly destroy the country. When morality is destroyed, families are destroyed. When many families are destroyed (or never happened in the first place, such as the current 40% of children in the US now born to unmarried mothers), the children grow up largely ruined. When the population is thus damaged, they are much easier to control. It's not difficult to understand this.

You are aware that it is the public that is elected to school boards and they make these decisions. If you want different decisions elect different members.

It is the leftist education colleges and textbooks. I have a good friend who ran for the school board and was able to accomplish almost nothing. Becuase the rest of the school board were the usual bureaucratic leftist pukes.
Any parent with any sense will rip his/her kids out of public school on Monday, if they haven’t already. I realize that you work as a teacher in a public school so you do not like this viewpoint.

John Dewey, the father of modern education, was a socialist. The very way schools are organized and set up is designed to destroy individuality and rational congnitive thinking.
It’s pointless to even try to save the system. The best thing that could happen (and I have no dout it will) is for the economy to really collapse, and then there won’t be any money to animate the corpse of public education any more. Families, churches, and local communities will step up to the plate and do an infinitely better job educating the young.
Government K-12 schooling has always been a threat to our Constitution. It only took one to three generations of socialist-entitlement and single-payer K-12 indoctrination to give the nation Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Propaganda is a highly effective tool of the Left, especially when used on young minds.
200 plus years ago thee were people like you, called loyalists. They just knew that they would never be able to stand up to the might of the British empire. Fortunately there were like men like Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, Adams, and Paine that were able to stir the hearts and minds of their countrymen. They refused to accept the status quo, they were willing to put it on the line.
