The clause that floors me is that her contract specifies that she MUST be the highest paid official in the county.

I've only heard about that in pro sports contracts.

I know what you are trying to say. California,just like Oregon and Washington, all the libs are coast bound. Get into the central and east parts- you have folks who are self sufficent, yet, do not carry vote substance. Truth be said, Oregon would not exist, without Cali-State and US Military retired folks.
