Traditional Marriage Still the Best for Children
http://www.acpeds.org ^ | March 21, 2013 | American College of Pediatricians

Gainesville, Florida – March 21, 2013 – “The American College of Pediatricians reaffirms that the intact, functional family consisting of a married (female) mother and (male) father provides the best opportunity for children. The College, therefore, disputes the American Academy of Pediatrics’ (AAP) claim that supporting same-sex unions promotes the “well-being of children.” In its newly released statement, “Promoting the Well-Being of Children Whose Parents Are Gay or Lesbian,” the AAP ignores important research on risks to children in favor of the wants of adults.

“The College does not support the alteration of this time-honored and proven standard to conform to pressures from “politically correct” groups. No one concerned with the well-being of children can reasonably ignore the evidence for maintaining the current standard, nor can they or we ignore the equally strong evidence that harm to children can result if the current standards are rejected,” says Den Trumbull, MD, President of the American College of Pediatricians. “The AAP ignores generations of evidence of health risks to children in advocating for the legality and legitimacy of same-sex marriage and child-rearing.”

This is a good conservative alternative to the AAP. We need to do more to promote alternatives to liberal dominated organizations.

Of course now the American college of Pediatricians will now be labeled a “terrorist hate group”.

Wow, stating the obvious. Do they mean sex offenders should not raise children? This sounds a bit homophobic. haha

The biggest criticism I’ve seen is they aren’t the AAP so they aren’t legit because everyone knows if you aren’t a liberal dominated group of doctors you can’t be legit. What we really need is an organized effort to split Doctors from the AAP and similar organizations. There are far too many conservative members of those organizations that are just members because it is expected.

The biggest obstacle to conservative organizations and researchers is that even conservative media doesn’t seek them out or publish their responses to their liberal dominated counterparts. Its hard to build when even your natural allies don’t facilitate you.

Several studies are out now, most recently by Mark Regnerus, which disproves the “same results” concoction of the homosexual-commissioned studies, and several have examined the data from those studies and found them to be misleading.

Will all the doctorates granted in education this should be loaded with actual research from people who should know in practice. My concern would be the effect on the children who could find out they have two strikes against them.

The kids that have it best of all are those of single moms and dads on TV. Of course, this is all fake.

They are misleading if not blatantly unscientific. If you have lesbians signing up for a study where they know that their answers to a survey is evaluating their fitness as parents what do you expect the result to be? Also usually the samples are usually front loaded with the best examples not a representative sample of participants which automatically invalidates such studies. We need more studies like Mark Regnerus because he did a great job of applying a strict scientific unbiased process. He took a lot of flack for it but you can’t oppose the homosexual movement and not take flack especially if you don’t just blindly support their unscientific propaganda.

Suffer from depression (by large margins)
Have recently thought of suicide (significantly)
Identify as bisexual, lesbian or gay
Have male on male or female on female sex partners
Currently be in a same-sex romantic relationship
As adults, be unmarried; much more likely to cohabit
As adults, more likely to be unfaithful in married or cohabiting relationships
Have a sexually tramsmitted infection (STI)
Be sexually molested (both inappropriate touching and forced sexual act)
Feel relationally isolated from bio-mother and -father
Be unemployed or part-time employed as young adults
As adults, currently be on public assistance or sometime in their childhood
Live in homes with lower income levels
Drink with intention of getting drunk
To smoke tobacco and marijuana
Have frequency of arrests
Have pled guilty to minor legal offense

Five out of nine fallible (or blackmailed) Supremes can rule that a horse is the same as a cow, or that 2+2=5, but they can't make either true.

Or they can rule that runaway slaves must be captured and returned to their masters, as they did before, and that wouldn't be right either.

And they can rule that homosexuals can "marry," but they the can't make that unnatural union a natural marriage any more than they can make a horse the same as a cow by legal fiat.

Now, just who would have ever thought this?
Sometimes what is so obvious to the casual observer proves to be true.
