“Get your Sansung TV before they blow Korea to bits.”

Not to worry, I have a brand new Samsung Smart TV and it was made in Mexico. So the only problem in the near term would be where to send the profits.

Obama isn’t worried. Remember, he called Iran and North Korea “little” Countries that aren’t a threat to us.

i think airliners, and several coordinated for TOT at that, are problematic at best since after the first one goes off, all flights will be immediately grounded to the closest airport or turned away if they are from out of the country

he'll only get ONE chance, he has to make it count and do as much damage as he possibly can

that and what airliners can he use? it's not like Air Koryo has scheduled flights to the US or do you mean smuggling nukes on to other carriers?

Part of the work i used to do involved coming up with "unthinkable" scenarios. We would start out with "How would you ....? and go from there. I can see several different methods

We don't know what technology the Russians or Chinese are swapping with the NK's or Iran.

Shielding a nuke is difficult but not impossible. Label a couple farm equipment put them on the civilian equivalent of a C-130 and send them over the heartland. Put a couple more on container ships an put one at the Port of LA and the other the Port Authority of NY. Send the 5th on an Air France in to Reagan Int.

You would have a window of about 1/2 hour from the first explosion to the grounding of all air traffic.

No problem. Samsung can send me the profits. Mexico, eh? That’s great. Thanks for the info. I will check mine.

“I’m of the opinion that this has been Obama’s mission all along. Destroy our economy and gut our military in preparation for a “surprise” nuclear attack (in this case, NORK EMP) that completely removes the USA from geopolitical calculations.”

After a truly edifying Vigil Mass with our bishop, I come home to read this & be reminded of the crap facing us in, I believe, the not too distant future.

*sigh*. Pray and fast.

Mea culpa. No one wants to hear/discuss any of this in my own home so I have to discuss it elsewhere.

NK is just insignificant enough in world affairs to be the sucker punch dragging our strategic logistics away from more formidable threats. It would be like Obama lobbing all our cruise missiles against Libya. Who is going to replace them?

One thing that has been discussed is that North Korea could be a launching platform for Chinese and Russian nuclear ICBM’s. Russia has SS-27’s and the Bulvala, and the Chinese have similar road mobile nuclear platforms.

All they would have to do is launch a few missiles from there and they would have their first strike. Throw in a few EMP bombs, and they would be set. Also, the Russians and Chinese could ‘evacuate’ the KPA out of Korea, and stage them in their countries to participate in invading South Korea after everything falls out.

No doubt they has thousands ofrockets. But I doubt they have very many missiles...and none which can reach CONUS.

Lots of rockets and lots of foot soldiers. Will be a disaster for most of the troops within 50 miles of the border. When I was at Osan in the '80s, the saying was that the installation only had enough weapons for 15% of the folks there because after a first strike by the North, that's all that would be left to handle the weapons. We also had a general George Livsey as commander of the Joint Forces over there. He'd get on the radio and talk about how his soldiers was ready - guns, tanks, etc. Then he'd finish by saying, "You hear that North Korea? We're ready for you so why don't ya'll just come on down." I'd look at the calendar and think, "Just stay up there for a few more months - I'm part of the 85% that's not supposed to make it through the first strike".

“The EMP would damage over 75% of our electronics and severly restrict our ability to respond.”

This is a complete falsehood. We can respond immediately.

Systems in place are not for open internet forums.

Your scenario is not possible. Show me mathematically how satellites and ground level infrastructure are destroyed. You’ve been reading too many fiction novels.

It’s not the weaponary of the NorK’s that matters, they can kick up some dust, but Mainland China is pulling this guy’s strings. China who gives DPRK everything from food to fuel, has decided to test a weak and bumbling American President by proxy.

DING! Winner!!!
