Don’t get me started on this topic! How do we combat this tyranny? I want to know where I can buy appliances that work, toilets that flush properly, and light bulbs that don’t cost a fortune. BTW, you can still buy dishwasher detergent with phosphates at bubblebandit.com. Too bad the dishwashers themselves are awful - new ones take 4 hours to do one load and the dishes are still wet!
You can improves your commode’s function by replacing the filler tube/flapper valve assembly with a taller one. Get one from a “French Country” style commode with a tall narrow tank. You can add at least a gallon and a half more water, maybe two gallons.
