As I understand it, those affected are on traditional, government-paid Medicare, not the privately-administered Medicare Advantage programs.

Not that they aren’t coming for the private Advantage plans eventually. If it works, these people want to destroy it.

It is exactly the opposite. Traditional Medicare A&B was marginally expanded while Medicare Advantage was cut significantly.
