This is all a big game, and we’re being played for suckers. The little tyrant (the one in NK) threatens to attack, and the other tyrant (in D.C.) gives Kim lots of taxpayer money. So for the Commies, it’s a win-win.

That’s certainly the game being played for now. But Kim has got to know that China is effectively on his side since they’re not going to tolerate increased U.S. military presence in the region. Recall the precedent that North Korea set when it captured the USS Pueblo and we did nothing whatsoever about it. This is growing into a very volatile and dangerous situation that could quickly spin out of control and de-stabilize the region.
