If a nuclear conflict erupts on the Korean Peninsula, Chernobyl would look like a kids fairytale, Russias president said. Tensions have been escalating rapidly, with last week seeing conflicting reports about North Korean nuclear activity.
Speaking at the annual industrial fair in Hannover, Vladimir Putin compared the possible nuclear brawl between Seoul and Pyongyang with the worst nuclear disaster in history - the explosion at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.
According to Putin, the consequences of the nuclear conflict on the Korean Peninsula would far exceed the industrial disaster in Chernobyl.

P!
It’s starting to sound as though the Russians and Red Chinese actually want Baby Kim and the NORKs to nuke America.
of course they do!
I hadn’t really thought about it before but I think an accidental nuclear disaster in North Korea is probably the real danger.
NK nuke can do damage in two ways: 1) nuclear bomb 2) nuclear reactor meltdown.
Nukes are far cleaner than melted down reactors. People lived in Hiroshima to this day. Chernobyl will be a ghost town for another dozen millenium.
What is the prevailing wind direction over the Korean Peninsula? East to West, if so watch out China.
One city nuked - maybe San Diago - and Homeland Security would be able to suspend the Constitution for reason of 'Security'... That's a far out one - but totalitarians have been known to do worse..
Lots of military equipment (some say Homeland Security equipment) has been filling up freight trains for a while now...) Or maybe the equipment was meant to fight in Korea - in which case this isn't as spontaneous as they'd have us believe.
Musings ...
Fear based speculation is the natural child of an administration that lies - and a MSM that covers those lies..
You're right of course - but hard facts have a way of messing with the fun... (Thanks for the comment - you're a breath of fresh air American in Israel.)
