The nation's best military fliers have had their wings clipped, thanks to the forced spending cuts imposed on the federal government this year.
The U.S. Navy on Tuesday announced it was canceling all the air shows its Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron had scheduled for the rest of the year. The Navy action follows the Air Force's April 1 announcement that its Thunderbirds team would not perform again this year.

Still no word about the “budget cuts” clipping the EPA’s wings though, huh? That’s too bad. Homeland “Security” could use a few “furloughs” too. They have way too much free time on their hands. Americans could use a break from their mischief.

Saw a Blue Angle while I was driving through Shreveport, La a few weeks ago. It was on a flatbed trailer being pulled on the Interstate. I guess this is how they will move them around during the sequester.

What is insane about this - it won’t save any $ - as they still are practicing. Indeed, that probably consumes more fuel than putting on an airshow... as they spend more time in the air for rehearsals.
If any aircraft should be grounded - it’s Air Force 1. IT has more miles on it for campaigning and vacationing than actual Presidential business in the last 4.5 years...

Well - had Obama and the gang that gave us sequestration been honest with us, then yes - that would be the truth.
But just like everything else spewing forth out of DC, that too is a lie. You see - the power to make the so-called "cuts" was put in the hands of the President. So - while the total federal spending might have seen a cut to the TOTAL growth - he has the power to decide where anything is cut. The military, who already saw an actual budget cut, is now seeing massive cuts - REAL cuts, not just cuts to budget growth. While Food Stamps and other somehow labeled "mandatory spending" have seen no cuts - not even to the GROWTH of their spending, the one Constitutional area of spending - our national defense, is actually being cut - and cut hard. The military has instituted serious RIF (Reduction In Force) measures - good men are being pushed out the doors because of the dramatic cuts.
So - were the sequestration applied across the board - then no agency of the government would see an actual budget cut - only a reduction to the growth. But that is not how it has actually played out - thanks to the gang and the jerk-in-chief -

Department of Homeland Security.
Environmental Protection Association (EPA).
Department of Labor.
Department of Housing and Urban Development.
30% of Government workers. What!!!, too low of a percentage?
Most foregin aid.
UN budget. Disband, kick them out, use the building for other purposes.
Plenty of other things to cut too.
The left hates the Blue Angels as much as guns. The yearly display of military muscle throws cold water on their thoughts of destroying America. Part of the purpose of military shows is to rattle the bones of our domestic communists, and the Blue Angels do that well. Freedom of speech is only a good idea in countries that have a strong military to keep things together. But Omugabe is working on it!
Make that foreign. Don’t want to make the drinking lobby mad by banning Fore “Gin” aid.
