Grover Norquist, champion of Islamism infiltration, is working to advance the cause of tax reform by backing an illegal alien amnesty that will impose a whopping economic burden on the country… leading to higher taxes.
The contradiction is obvious. If you’re going to legalize 12 million undocumented Democrats plus all their family members then you are tremendously boosting the welfare state on the receiving end and the voting end.
The only way that the pro-amnesty side can win the amnesty debate is by not having it. And that means going after any sources of facts and taking them down.
The first target were anti-illegals groups like CIS and FAIR which were smeared as eugenicists. But the next set of targets is even bigger.
Norquist says that he’s trying to counteract the effect of “a handful of radio talk-show hosts who talk loudly.”
“The bitter-enders who are still responding to radio talk-show hosts from eight years ago haven’t noticed that the world has shifted from underneath them,” he says.
For bitter-ender, read conservative. The world has shifted is a favorite progressive argument. So it’s not too much of a shock that Norquist is using it.
It’s usually people who want to shift the world who are the ones to claim that it already happened. And whining about talk radio is a favorite liberal hobby. Norquist is too cowardly to actually name names, but we have a pretty good who his targets are.
Meanwhile Norquist is hitting Robert Rector of Heritage for accurately calculating the real costs of illegal immigration. And Norquist’s counter-arguments mix drivel with phony pandering.
“The idea of treating people as a liability — that more people coming in might go on welfare — that’s an argument against having babies, that’s an argument for car accidents, an argument for abortion,” he tells me. “We ought to be in favor of people not getting killed in car accidents, not getting aborted, and immigrating to the United States — and reforming welfare. You don’t screw up your policies to fit a stupid government program. You reform the stupid government program.”
You can see that Norquist’s big idea was to equate pro-illegal immigration with pro-life to win over Evangelical Christians.
But Norquist’s arguments fail in every way possible.
1. The issue is not opposition to immigration, but he legalization of illegal immigration. Legalizing illegal immigration from south of the border erases immigration quotas and eliminates the border for all intents and purposes, no matter how much amnestiers talk about border security.
2. Legalizing 12 million voters who will support that stupid government program makes reforming it impossible. Norquist knows this and by putting illegal alien amnesty first and tax reform second, he is showing where his real priorities lie.
3. Having children is a human birthright. Moving to another country isn’t. Equating the two is just stupid.
4. Keeping illegal aliens from some of the most violent parts of the world out of the country helps make it possible for Americans to have children who will have a future instead of facing lifelong unemployment or being murdered.
Mark Kirkorian at the National Review’s Corner conclusively smacks down Norquist’s complete lack of credibility.
Grover Norquist has been most forthright in attempting to purge capitalist roaders immigration skeptics from the party (as Betsy Woodruff outlines in a new piece on the homepage). He sent out a memo yesterday attacking Heritage and claiming that “Robert Rector’s work does not speak for the conservative movement; in fact, it does not even speak for the Heritage Foundation.” In comments to the Daily Caller earlier today, Norquist was even more cutting, implying incompetence on the part of Ed Feulner and Jim DeMint: “When [Heritage vice president for research] Burt Pines was there, you couldn’t have gotten it out the door.” He didn’t suggest that Jim DeMint is a secret abortionist, but that’s not far off.
Heritage has not conceded anything to Norquist and its other attackers, and Jim DeMint just today on Laura Ingraham’s show reiterated that amnesty would have a “huge cost” and that the political class has to earn the trust of the public by enforcing the law before discussing amnesty.
Norquist is hurling stones from a glass house. He has insulted Phyllis Schlafly for the entertainment of The New Yorker’s readers; he’s pro-gay marriage; he was a lobbyist for Fannie Mae, playing his small part in crashing the economy; he pitched the Marianas’ indentured labor program — marked by official corruption, sex slavery, and forced abortions — as a shining example of the free market; he was practically married to Jack Abramoff; and now, as a board member of the American “Conservative” Union, he is helping direct an organization that’s soliciting industry money to lobby against spending cuts.

Norquists, Americans for Tax Reform, is little more than a money laundering scam. While we send him $$$, he lobbies for CAIR, Microsoft, GE...that’s who he wants to lower taxes for, not the rest of us! That’s who wants AMNESTY and uncontrolled immigration, NOT US! He has hijacked nearly every ‘conservative’ institution...Cpac, ACU, THE TEA PARTY and is on the board of the NRA...will they be the next to go ‘squishy’?

The elites need to be more concerned whether they will obtain amnesty before presuming to hand it out so insanely to a Mexico City-sized new protected class of La Raza.
This is going to be a long week. The elites and their kibuki world's greatest deliberative body are hoping to overwhelm the People, whom they would desolve, if they could, by carrying forward votes on multiple fronts.

The Liberal argument is that being born transforms you both into a "person" and a "citizen" at the moment of your birth.
The pro-life position is that your personhood and citizenship are inherent in your very existence.
Birth is not a Magical transformation. It is merely an emergence from one world to another.
Grover has outlived his usefulness. I have never understood how someone who has had a one-sentence mantra for however many years becomes this religious icon. Now, he has apparently made his peace with his lower chakras. Isn’t there a Conservative bus people like him can be thrown under? The libs have no problem with this. And they don’t take no kind of twenty years to figure it out.

Remember during the fight for “obamacare” the uninsured were 32 million, and the greater part of the uninsured were the “poor, underpaid workers,” (they were careful to insist they were NOT including the “undocumented?” That was a lie. The unemployment rate was above 8% and the uninsured were illegal aliens holding American jobs.
Now that the subject is “immigration reform,” the number has suddenly shrank to a mere 11 million. This is another lie. The number of illegal aliens here is closer to 20 million plus including their family members.
CA was a Republican state in presidential elections through 1988, but after Reagan’s ‘86 amnesty, CA is solid demonic-rat.
The same will happen to Texas and most other Republican states, if this “immigration reform” passes.
