Is April 15th North Korea Launch day?

Since April 15th (Later on today United States Time) is Kim il Sung 101st birthday, we think today would be the day for the DPRK to launch if they intend to.

New Secretary of State Kerry is in the region trying to come up with his first victory since taking office. But the DPRK is not backing down.

NORTH KOREA UNBENDING

Pyongyang, which was preparing to celebrate the birth date of state founder Kim Il-Sung on Monday, reiterated it had no intention of abandoning its atomic arms programs.

"We will expand in quantity our nuclear weapons capability, which is the treasure of a unified Korea ... that we would never barter at any price," Kim Young-nam, North Korea's titular head of state, told a gathering of officials and service personnel applauding Kim Il-Sung.

The KCNA news agency also rejected as a "cunning trick" South Korean President Park Geun-hye's suggestion last week of holding talks with the North.

Their launch day is the day that they launch.

Why their capabilities have not been absolutely destroyed and why we are playing this waiting game is beyond my ability to comprehend.

They don’t need to launch anything. They’re providing the expected distraction without wasting resources.

Actually, I suspect the answer is yes and no.

Yes they will launch, but the launches will be rather ineffectual, just to mark the day. I gather the last time they launched, it was with a medium range or two and a bunch of shorter range missiles.

They almost cannot launch a long range unless it goes over Japan, and Japan has been very clear that they will shoot down any missile that looks like it will go over their territory.

Importantly, Japan has a big advantage here, because missiles on the way up are a lot easier to shoot down than when they reach altitude, or are in descent.

I’m going to bet it is either the 15th or the dreaded 19 April.

Anyone? Anyone?

Is April 15th North Korea Launch day?

So all of the socialists at home and communists abroad are hitting the US on the same day? Why not? They're all in the same bed anyways.

It’s probably the day Kerry will hand deliver a birthday check for $27 billion. Obama will get another Nobel Peace Prize for averting a world war.

It would be funny, if Kim’s people were outwitted, overpowered and put in a weak position by Park’s people.

I hope they launch. Don’t care what they aim it at.

Had 8 years of the rats hammering Bush about being a warmonger. Now if the Norks launch a nuke what is the left going to do?

This will get interesting very fast.

There’s the April 19th Revolution, and there are many other special dates. The question is, will North Korea continue to be China’s little lap dog and do whatever it is told?

If you’re in South Korea or Japan, you have to be a little wary. After all, Hussein may have a fund raiser and leave orders not to be disturbed, then you’re on your own!

At 8.36 a.m. in South Korea, all is quiet. They missed their dawn attack option.
