Had a French or German President or Prime Minister passed away, at least Biden would have attended. From the first few months of this Administration, Obama's anti-British attitude has been evident. I suspect that even if Tony Blair were to die while he is President, there would be no official American presence.

Obama is insufferably petty. John Kennedy, who had a better case for holding anti-British grudges than Obama, as Ireland was occupied by the Brits for eight centuries, vs. a century or so for Kenya, treated the nation's principal European ally with far more respect.

The man who didn't know what language they spoke in Austria? It goes beyond England. Obama's not that much interested in Europe either. It's surprising after the big rally he had in Berlin five years back, but he doesn't need those people any more.
