WACO, Texas (AP) -- Some who survived the fiery end to the 51-day standoff at the Branch Davidians' Central Texas compound are to gather for a memorial service on the 20th anniversary of the fire.
Survivors and others who see the events as an unwarranted government intrusion into personal and religious freedoms are to attend the service Friday at a Waco museum.
Federal agents raided the compound Feb. 28, 1993, trying to arrest sect leader David Koresh for stockpiling illegal weapons. But the group had been tipped off about the raid and a shootout ensued. Four agents and six Davidians were killed.

They should burn down Janet Reno’s house.

And were illegal weapons found?
No illegal weapons.

Quite apparent that the AP does not share such a view or this would read a bit differently.
I’m not sure how one can look at it much differently than the AP called it in their veiled sarcastic lead.
The facts are available for all to see, and for the BATFE to still be in existence is proof positive that no one in Government gives a pfennig about “The People”.
Ruby Ridge and Waco, are seminal events in our history, that should cause an underware change should one get it.
...and obviously except for a few bitter clingers, and some on FR, very few get it.
So, on with the show, as we continue down the path where a half bright, half white, unconstitutional usurper, resides in the white house wielding power stolen from the Congress who abdicated what power they had a long long time ago.

And just why did you say that I should trust the government?
Nice SR pic on your home page.
And how were they tipped off? As I recall ATF agents were running there mouths off in town. As someone please correct me, but I recall a story about how agents had T-shirt printed up about being at the WACO raid before the raid. I think they may have worn them in a bar....
