(Reuters) - U.N. human rights investigators have gathered testimony from casualties of Syria's civil war and medical staff indicating that rebel forces have used the nerve agent sarin, one of the lead investigators said on Sunday.

The United Nations independent commission of inquiry on Syria has not yet seen evidence of government forces having used chemical weapons, which are banned under international law, said commission member Carla Del Ponte.

The US/NATO armed and financed Al Qaeda foreign mercenaries are getting their butts kicked by the Syrian Army. If things continue as they are they aren't going to last much longer. The whole chemical weapons controversy is a false flag propaganda stunt designed to convince American and European rubes that the situation requires open intervention by US/NATO, "for the children", of course. This has proven to be a tough sell.

The chemical weapons hoax is not getting any traction so now suddenly Israel is bombing strategic targets around Damascus. Is this designed to force a Syrian counter-attack which will give the US/NATO the perfect excuse to bombard the country and save their Al Qaeda allies? How long can this go on based on the specious claim that they are only targeting missiles bound for Lebanon?

It would be amusing if the Israelis were bombing Syrian facilities to shore up support for the regime. The Sunni rebels have been criticizing Assad for deal-making with Israel. Well, the Israelis are dropping bombs on Assad's facilities, so how pro-Israel could he be?

> “... chemical weapons, which are banned under international law ...”
If it’s bad for government to use “banned materials” against their own people, then why is it OK for DHS to have “banned firearms ammunition (hollow point)” and to be buying more?

The article points out that the “Assad is using chemical weapons” meme was a hoax, since it was actually the “rebels” who were using them. So it’s going to be harder for Barry to whip up more support for his AQ buddies now.

If this is the case, then those strike Israel did this weekend were not really against Syria. They were against the terrorists. If the terrorists have gotten to the chemical weapons, then Assad’s downfall is eminent. It is a wild time in Syria.

The arab alliance is going to form quickly against Israel, but it is the Arab’s use of chemical weapons that brings the retribution. Damascus will fall and will be a city no longer due to the Arabs contaminating the city. It will be left uninhabitable...

Chemical, biological, nuclear...Israel is bombing the weapons that are in the hands of rebels or about to fall into the hands of rebels. Assad is done.

The only deal making might be they have agreed to help Assad get asylum, if he divulges where the WMD are, so Israel can take them out of action and keep them from the terrorists hands.

indicating that rebel forces have used the nerve agent sarin,

Makes sense. The rebel side wants the US to be forced to intervene on their side, like was done in Libya. What better way to do it, than to use sarin, and blame Assad?

Obama and John F Kerry who served in Vietnam PLEDGED $30,000,000 of our taxpayer dollars to the rebels....apparently the rebels who USED CHEMICAL WEAPONS.

Also, notice the two clowns did this DURING SEQUESTER. So the clowns chose to inconvenience air travelers and fund terrorists instead.

Yup, it’s falling apart for obama. Looking more and more like it’s his AQ pals (the rebels) that used chemical weapons.

We have a tyrant in power who we know would use gas on his people, and a group of terrorists opposing him who we know would use gas on the people so they could blame it on the tyrant. We have defectors who want to bring the tyrant down who are claiming they were ordered to use gas, but are they telling the truth or are they lying to draw us into this quagmire? Frankly, I don’t see a side I want to support, which means Obama must love both sides.

I still don’t understand the big push on the part of US politicians, dems and pubbies, to provide weapons and other support to the rebel forces.

Haven’t they learned anything from Libya and Egypt?

Obama’s “Arab Spring” elevated anti-American militant muslim forces into power in both countries.

Now our own politicians are chomping at the bit to back Syrian rebels who are as bad, or worse, than the present al-Assad regime.
