"Gun Owners of America tells me that Senator Harry Reid, along with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and other Senate Democrats, are pushing hard to resurrect gun control in the Senate.

And the media is now reporting that, by making "superficial" changes to the Toomey-Schumer-Manchin provisions, some Senators are being tempted to flip-flop and support gun control.

But don't be fooled! The Toomey-Schumer-Manchin provision is a national gun registry.

It is a national gun registry because the Obama administration is copying the names of gun purchasers from 4473's when it conducts its annual inspections of gun shops. If everyone has to have a 4473, everyone will be in the Obama administration's database.

Few things are more hypocritical than the spectacle of gun-grabbers whining that they don't support national gun registries just as they get off Air Force One on a trip from Hartford, Connecticut where they cheered enactment of a state gun registry.

The Second Amendment clearly states that our gun rights "shall not be infringed." And the Toomey-Schumer-Manchin background registration checks, even after "superficial" changes, would still remain as an infringement upon the rights of law-abiding Americans.

I am ready to help in any Senate campaign, no matter which state, to defeat ANY SENATOR who votes for gun control. So I hope that you will stand for the Second Amendment.

Senators may resurrect defeated gun control

So the NRA and "We the People" have to work to change some other senator's minds the other way. My two senators are already commie/libs, so I won't even bother contacting them. I have in the past and all I get is a pansey-assed form letter in reply.
