Why Obama released embarrassing IRS bombshell
World Net Daily ^ | 5/12/13 | Bob Unruh

Posted on 05/12/2013 1:55:52 PM PDT by Mozilla

The Internal Revenue Service under the Obama administration – described by Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., as the “most feared government agency” – admitted Friday it targeted conservative and tea-party groups during last year’s election because of their politics.

Bachmann, a former tax attorney, told WND in an interview the IRS admission means the credibility of the 2012 election is in doubt.

Americans, she said, should be wondering whether Obamacare, which is to be enforced by the IRS, will target conservative voices opposed to President Obama with delays or denials of medical care.

But why would an administration ever confess to such a flagrant misuse of politics and power?

Bachmann, who chairs the House Tea Party caucus, said it’s the Benghazi scandal.

“There’s no doubt this was not a coincidence that they dumped this story today, a Friday dump day,” Bachmann told WND. “This is when they put their negative stories out.”

But she said the looming storm cloud called Benghazi is the “soft underbelly” of the Obama administration and likely will keep Hillary Clinton from fulfilling her dream of occupying the Oval Office.

That would make it logical to release an IRS story that, while embarrassing, also could be cubbyholed as another “conservative” dispute with the White House.

Bachmann said the IRS announcement of misbehavior was intended to provoke conservatives and draw their anger and attention.

“I was in that Benghazi hearing,” she told WND. “I think the Obama administration is desperate to spin Benghazi, and they can’t. I think they saved this story up for a day like today so that conservatives would focus on this admission.”

Benghazi got legs, and it’s in a slow trot for the long haul.

In the Navy, its called “making smoke”. The enemy knows where you are and has your range, so you throw up a bunch of smoke so you can maneuver around and change the range and bearing enough to throw off their aim for short time. If you have screening vessels, they make the smoke so they become the targets and the high-value ships get away.

Benghazi and the obvious Watergate/Iran Contra parallels has the regime so shaken up that they’re willing to sacrifice loyal IRS lapdogs who obeyed their master to get out from under our guns. They’re even willing to verify the “conspiracy theories” that the government is targeting conservative groups.

We can deal with the IRS after the impeachment. Ignore the smoke!!

The IRS unlawful acts are merely a stalling tactic until the next wag the dog event can be generated, sacrificing Americans to die for little barry abstard boy’s protection of image ... and democrip voters will applaud the murders for aiding Soetoro to remain in power. Ever wonder why false flag and wag dog events never happen in black neighborhoods?

Except the IRS deal itself should be grounds for impeachment...

Probably because there are several other things about to come out, and they're hoping that between Benghazi and this IRS thing the next stories will never see the light of day.

Our government is loaded with Obama appointees, many of whom have probably been screwed over by team Obama... and there are likely all sorts of things about to surface.

This article is exactly right. The left doesn’t admit to any wrong doing unless they are wagging the dog...the IRS scandal is a bright shiny object to distract from what is an impeachable offense.

The IRS scandal is potentially as dangerous as Benghazi if the Cincinnati IRS unit can be linked to the White House, the DNC or some other higher-level partisans. This could uncover the “shadow” organizations that rigged, bribed, stole and sabotaged to get Obama reelected.

The IRS press release came out Friday because an Inspector General’s report on the scandal is due to be released later this week.

When all else fails, use the Clinton “scandal fatigue” game plan. It works!

Unfortunately for this administration, conservatives can walk and chew gum at the same time. IOW, we have enough outrage to focus on multiple issues concurrently. And I have a feeling that there will be even more things coming to light to keep us busy.

Just fricking arrest Odumb@$$ than have the trial after he has been arrested. Executive privilege my fanny - murder - does not qualify for any privileges other than a 8 x 8 cell with a stainless toilet.

I’m quite pleased that Obamacare will be just hitting “full bloom” at the time of the mid-term elections.
