I doubt that the EPA was the only governmental organization that was using unofficial email accounts to conduct partisan political hacktivity using the powers of their unelected offices.
It stretches back to the anal exam that "Joe the Plumber" got in the wake of his mention in the 2008 debate. Police abused their access privileges and leaked information to the press. The goal was to discredit the man (who by no actions of his own) "embarassed The One" during a campaign stop and subsequently during the debate. Originally the spin doctors tried to play off the name "Joe the Plumber" as an "everyman" Joe Sixpack name (not a real person, just John Doe) as Biden and Kerry and Reid often cite.
I was just thinking about Joe the Plumber’s very public exam, with all this IRS cr@pola going on. He was one of the first to get stepped on.
