.... Well ... The so called CIC (Commander in Chief) of the American armed forces forced a violation of Marine Corps regulations, so that the Prez with a fez wouldn’t get we!!!

According to Marine Corps regulation MCO P1020.34F of the Marine Corps Uniform Regulations chapter 3, a male Marine is not allowed to carry an umbrella while in uniform. There is no provision in the Marine Corps uniform regulation guidelines that allows a male Marine to carry an umbrella.

Marines are taught in basic training to NEVER carry umbrellas when in their Dress Blue Uniforms.

A male Marine doesn't carry an umbrella in ANY uniform.

As a former Marine it pisses me off that 8th & I Marine Barracks in Washington DC doesn't do a better job of recruiting Marines that have been deployed overseas. They go for the photogenic types out of basic at PI or San Diego, same with junior officers fresh out of Quantico.
Back in my day the US Pavilion at the World's Fair in Montreal (1967) was guarded by Marines, great duty. Problem was most of the enlisted Marines were boots out of basic training. The Commandant of the Marine Corps visited a month or so into the Fair and within a couple of weeks all of the 'boot camp' types who couldn't believe their good luck, were gone ... replaced by deserving Vietnam vets rotated back to the US. The fact the Commandant (not Green ... my Commandant) said, in effect, give this prime duty to deserving Marines impressed me.
As far as holding a umbrella over O ... sticking it up his a** (which has seen a lot of Reggie action) would have been more appropriate.

I also think Obama knew what he was doing, he is such an arrogant wimp.
