I’ve been told today by several reporters that President Obama’s White House counsel, Kathryn Ruemmler, knew for several days — perhaps weeks —that some Internal Revenue Service officials were engaging in political targeting of conservative groups, and that she did not tell the president as soon as she knew even partial reports about the story.
With all due respect to someone who has impeccable legal credentials, if she did have such foreknowledge and didn’t inform the president immediately, I respectfully suggest Ms. Ruemmler is in the wrong job and that she should resign.

Could that be because she knew the president was already aware of the practice, having demanded it's implementation himself?

OK. this goes on all the time ad it’s the common thread in all of this administration. The Administration participates in unlawful activity, dereliction of duty, thuggery,
violation of the Constitution and Bill of Rights and then structures it so as to be able to have plausible deniability.
But that does speak to the integrity of the leadership of the President. In other words it’s not OK
even if all 3 of these scandals do not end up with smoking guns directly to Obama. Everyone can see. We need to cause people to understand that it is DEMOCRATS and their leadership and that Government is out of control no matter who is at the helm. The only remedy is to prune it.

Obama’s evasion yesterday from, Did anyone in the White House know of the IRS actions? to, I didn’t know about the IG report, surely indicates he did not want to answer that question.
Obama said he’s going to get this IRS “thing fixed”.

Until the option changes from resign to criminal prosecution and prison, for the public servants, bureaucrats and politicians of both Parties, this corruption will continue to run rampant. We need accountability from every sector of government.
Maybe I’m putting on my tinfoil hat, but I trust Lanny Davis (the Klintoon’s bud) about as far as I can throw him.
The first thing that came to my mind was that I read an article on FR that the WH had a group of Dem political consultants yesterday to give advice on how to lessen the impact of these “controversies” (e.g., give them some talking points and PR advice). Was Lanny included in that group; and, if so, is this the beginning of the PR activities? Obummer knew nothing because his underlings didn’t properly advise him (under the bus is becomming very crowded).
Then, I was thinking that given Lanny is friends with the Klintoons, perhaps this is part of their strategery to slime Obummer and make Hillary! look good as part of her run up to the 2016 election.
Call me off-base or having crazy musings - I’m just skeptical of Lanny coming out now - it seems to me that there has to be more to it than a former WH counsel coming out against a current WH counsel than Lanny’s trying to continue to make himself relevant.
I can’t remember the back story but Lanny is no fan of Obama and the Chicago Boys. It maybe over the 2008 democRATic primary campaign...
It was an assault on our electoral process, even though it was Hillary and her supporters that got beat up and the temptation is strong to sneer at them. That shouldn't happen, except in our naughty fantasies.
It's been Soros, IMO, that has kept Hillary in check. But Media Matters is getting exposed in the IRS scandal, which does not touch Hillary but I believe should come around to throw the likes of John Panetta in jail. Wishful thinking, but he deserves to be pounding big rocks into Little Rocks.
Soros is getting ancient, and I do not believe that his sons can carry on the same exceptionally satanic kind of evil. They look soft and indulged and didn't get their wickedness honed by Nazi Germany.
If Hillary knows that she probably won't have the strength to run in 2016, she might decide to destroy her enemies in 2014.
And now we're supposed to believe (per 0bama) that the President didn't know anything about this severe abuse until he he watched the news a few days ago?
That pretty much leaves two possibilities:
Sweet. In his pathetic attempt to defend himself, the President is completely undermining the ideological basis upon which his party has been making policy for the last century!
It's looking like the President has been caught lying here, attempting a coverup at least with respect to what he knew and when he knew it, etc.
Even at this early stage of Congressional oversight regarding these heinous IRS abuses, 0bama's credibility is rapidly approaching zero, and anyone who asserts otherwise is being willfully ignorant and naive.
Please, Lord, let Justice prevail in all of these matters...
Agreed 100%. Obama's hubris will be his undoing. (Oh, and don't forget, he's notoriously thin-skinned and will not be able to stay quiet as the allegations mount.)
I hold out hope that Barry is far too arrogant and stubborn to follow good scandal containment advice.
Obama, of course, knew. Furthermore, he knew we knew he’s lying.
He simply just dares us to do anything about it.
