We kept the frogs in a cooler where their metabolism was low, they didn't take a lot of feed and if they stayed very long they died. We'd inject them with five mls of urine from a female and would necropsy the frogs in 24-48 hours, looking at their ovaries to see if they were ovulating. The frogs always died. I was glad to see pregnancy tests using other methods because the frogs were nasty.

So it’s not due to global warming?

That was the claim for a number of years.
