Friends say victim knew Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev

ORLANDO, Fla. - The FBI confirms a special agent was involved in a deadly shooting early Wednesday near Universal Orlando, and two friends of the victim say he was from Chechnya and knew one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects.

The fatal shooting happened just after midnight at 6022 Peregrine Avenue in Orlando.

"We are currently responding to a shooting incident involving an FBI special agent," FBI Special Agent Dave Couvertier told Local 6. "The incident occurred in Orlando, Florida. The agent encountered the suspect while conducting official duties. The suspect is deceased. We do not have any further details at this time. We expect to have more information later this morning."

The FBI has not confirmed the link to the Boston bombing, but the friends say the man killed by the agent knew Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who was killed in a shootout with police near Boston days after the marathon bombing.

No other details were immediately known.

Pretty bizarre. The friend seems somewhat credible to me. Keep in mind too that friend could be Russian intelligence or guy shot could be Russian intelligence here to track Chechnian extremists.

Last FBI shooting prior to this one, apparently last Tuesday in Las Vegas.

http://www.ktnv.com/news/local/192043101.html

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The fugitive involved in a shootout with an FBI agent on Tuesday has died.

FBI officials have identified him as 32-year-old Javier Solomon Reyes.

The incident began Tuesday afternoon in a neighborhood near Charleston and Nellis.

FBI agents and local police were working to serve an arrest warrant to Reyes, who was wanted for robbery with a deadly weapon and multiple carjackings.

When authorities came in contact with the Reyes at about 2:45 p.m., gunfire was exchanged between him and an FBI agent.

Both Reyes and the agent were taken to University Medical Center to be treated.

The FBI agent, who was wearing a protective vest at the time of the shooting, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was released overnight.

> Reyes suffered serious injuries and died at the hospital.

This video may or may not be a separate incident, not sure if it is the same, FBI agent was shot in Vegas,, suspect shot possibly by Metro.

At least FBI special agents seem to exhibit good gun control.

“I guess we shouldn’t dismiss the possibility that this now deceased individual knew something that would put Holder’s FBI or the Obama administration in a bad light—such as possible pre-Boston Bombing involvement of the Boston bombers with the FBI.

Don’t automatically believe everything the Obama/Holder regime puts out.”

That’s partly my reaction as well. Since their incompotence had been highlighted, I’ve had the feeling that failure by the US intelligence agencies to stop the Boston murders wasn’t really a “failure” but a planned action on their part.

However, Philadelphia CBS radio had their Orlando counterpart on who had spoken with a friend of the deceased. The “journalist” kept quoting the friend that the two had nothing to do with terrorism, that the deceased had a green card & had wanted to return to Chechneya (Can’t spell it) on Sunday “to visit his parents”. However the deceased was “persuaded” (reporter/friend’s word) by the FBI not to go. To say that the “journalist” was swallowing hook, line & sinker everything the friend had to say is a pitiful understatement.

So everything about the Boston Bombing stinks worse than Hamlet’s Denmark.

Maybe EPCOT should have a Chechnya exhibit to appease the Muslims.

And, thanks to our intrepid media, they never will be.

Jihadis do not like to be confronted or taken in for questioning. FBI getting more serious about these people after embarrassment of Boston.

Works for me. If they want to die so bad, I don't have any problem with granting their wish.

“Somethingis fishy here, Loose end?”

Too hard to tell. At first glance, it looks like a case of ‘sudden Jihad syndrome’.

Maybe there is a good reason that the DHS is stocking up on ammo after all.

The condo development this guy was killed inside of is the same one that large numbers of Universal hourly employees rent in

That's what I was thinking. I've seen no mention in any of the articles where these guys were employed. One wouldn't think Universal Studio employees would be searched like tourists are. Boston Marathon, 4th of July celebrations, Times Square, Universal and Disney. No, nothing to see, move along and enjoy your summer vacation with the family.

The May 4th arrest went off without incident so he was released on May 5, 2013 on a $3,500 surety bond. Sounds like book and release revolving door so the FBI probably didn’t know about it in time.

D.C. is sure cranking out the citizenship papers for anyone and everyone these days. Couldn’t be that they’re enemies of the US or future low information voters.
