A man being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings who was killed in Florida early Wednesday by the FBI was reportedly going to admit his role in the 2011 Waltham triple homicide, according to news partner WCVB.

Khusen Taramov said he and Ibragim Todashev were being questioned as part of the bombings by the FBI official and law enforcement officers in Orlando.

Taramov said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters, WCVB reports. Taramov said they were interviewed nearly three hours, and at some point, "something went wrong," and Todashev was killed. Sources said Todashev was about to admit his role in a triple homicide that happened in Waltham on Sept. 11, 2011, when he "went crazy."

"There was some sort of aggressive movement that led the FBI agent to believe he was under threat and he opened fire," the law enforcement official told ABC News. It was not clear what role Todashev may have played, but he was "about to sign a statement" admitting to a role with Tsarnaev in the unsolved murders.

The Waltham Police Department, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and the Boston division of the FBI did not comment on the case. The State Police referred calls to the FBI.

> The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office is looking into the possible tie between now-dead bombing suspect Tsarnaev and the Sept. 11, 2011, murders of three men inside a home on Harding Avenue.

Tsarnaev had been training with one of the 2011 murder victims in an attempt to transition from boxing into a possible career in the sport of mixed martial arts, according to news partner WCVB. One of the murder victims identified by police, Brendan Mess, 25, of Waltham, was a well-known mixed martial arts fighter.

The three men killed had their throats stabbed and their bodies covered with marijuana, according to police. The grisly murder scene had produced no leads made public to date. Cambridge residents Eric Weissman, 31, and Rapheal Teken, 37, were also killed. Teken graduated from Brookline High School and Brandeis University.

The murders are under investigation by the Waltham Police Department and the State Police Middlesex County CPAC Unit.

The FBI confirmed today that a person was shot and killed in Florida, but would not disclose details about the investigation.

"The agent, along with two Massachusetts State Police troopers and other law enforcement personnel, were interviewing an individual in connection with the Boston Marathon bombing investigation when a violent confrontation was initiated by the individual," the FBI said in a statement.

There's another article that says the guy attacked the agent with a knife. And I have to ask myself why would he sign a confession to a murder. Didn't Holder get someone in there quick enough to Mirandize him?

Ibragim Todashev "just went crazy," and pulled a knife during his interview with the FBI, said state and federal law enforcement officials briefed on the latest strange twist in the investigation of the Boston Marathon bombing.

One official said an FBI agent was stabbed several times, although his injuries were described by the FBI as "non-life threatening."

Since Tamerlan didn’t go to the viewing or the funeral, I wonder if this guy did or if he was close enough friends with Mess to be expected to attend. Wonder if people were questioning where he was like they were Tamerlan.

Or, unless he went violent because he didn’t have any connection with the murders and it was a set up like the friend said.

Or, this whole incident was dead men don’t tell tales. Too, much isn’t connecting in this.
