WASHINGTON, D.C., May 21, 2013 (LifeSiteNews) – Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) has introduced a bill aimed at marginalizing Crisis Pregnancy Centers (CPCs), which serve women facing unexpected pregnancies with counseling and factual information about parenthood, adoption and abortion. CPCs also offer practical support for women who choose to parent, such as baby equipment, formula, diapers and clothing.

H.R. 2030, which Maloney named the “Stop Deceptive Advertising for Women's Services Act,” orders the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to create regulations restricting CPCs’ advertising practices. The wording of the bill is minimal, leaving the details to be hammered out by the bureaucracy at a later date.

People may remember Maloney the Baloney from the House Benghazi hearings recently.

New York City Democrat. Says it all. She is basically trying to prevent girls/women from getting the help they need when they are pregnant.

In essence, Maloney the Baloney wants to take away a girl's/woman's choice and make the person be forced to have an abortion. Adoption is not an option for Maloney the Baloney. Nor is economically helping a person who is preganant.

New York Democrat. Money should be given to the government and politicians like her...

Wow, CPC centers are a wonderful service to women in crisis. It is chilling to me that these Democrats see the act of encouraging these women to avoid aborting their un-born child as something to be stopped.

This should be sufficient to get the bill thrown out. Even considering it is a waste of time, since, at the end of the long process, in all likelihood the result would be declared unconstitutional.

They want pregnancy centers to have advertising about Planned Parenthood present in their centers. We are fighting it here in Oregon.

they can’t stop abortion clinics closing because most , if not every one of them, is like Gosnell’s, give or take a bit.

so now democrats go after cisis pregnancy centers in the hopes they can take down christian-based, pro-life centers that help pregnant women.

you know why they are lying about these places?’’because they don’t say or do what the left says they say and do.’if they did, liberals would have evidence of it, just like pro-lifers have on every planned’parenthood,’saying they don’t do mammograms but the ppfa pres says on tv they do, and most of the pp’s hide rape of minors, and it’s all recorded. let’s hear the recordings that these places are tricking women to come in because they are told they will get abortion info and references. roll the tape, liberals.

They want pregnancy centers to have advertising about Planned Parenthood...

What? I guess there is so much taxpayer money invested in Planned Parenthood they need everyone to advertize this.

I still want to know why no one is in jail on account of Planned Parenthood Golden Gate. Or who cooked the books for that organization...

Pro-Aborts have numerous 501c(3) tax exempt orgs that’s sole purpose is to solicit/gather funds and pay for abortions for “needy” women ,,, Why can’t we have a woman who wants to give birth apply for funds from one of these outfits and sue the sh*t out of them when they refuse to help... ,, just pick one with a name that implies help for women in crisis and force them to spend a few hundred thousand defending themselves.

Planned Parenthood trying to eliminate the competition. What’s not fascistic about this?

>>“Stop Deceptive Advertising for Women’s Services Act,”<<

Since Planned Parenthood has nothing to do with parenthood, isn’t this Deceptive Advertising?

Some of those are violations of the tax code... I remember about Planned Parenthood Rhode Island having a political organization that should have been investigated regardless of how one feel's about abortion.

I guess I will have to research that and post it here...

The organization in question is: Planned Parenthood Votes!

Here is a link to a Freerepublic discussion about Rhode Island (Planned Parenthood) and Planned Parenthood Votes:

Catholic College in RI sponsers play that gives profits to Planned Parenthood: Bishop Tobin responds

Note that this is from something that happened in August, 2005... It is not about the PRESENT.

However, this might give reason to have Congress investigate Planned Parenthood Votes!

An interesting fact is that the first head of Planned Parenthood International headed, get this, the Nazi Germany Eugenics/Master Race program in World War II.

Also, Margaret Sanger had EXTREMELY STRONG TIES WITH NAZIS WORKING ON EUGENICS/THE MASTER RACE in the 1930's.

I am sure Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood would have been tickled pink to meet Adolf Hitler and thank his scientists for their work on the Master Race in the 1930's....

The article should have had in the title that Bishop Tobin stops play benefiting Planned Parenthood on the school property of a Catholic College...

Make no mistake about it, Bishop Tobin is a staunch defender of life.

He wrote a letter to then-Congressman Patrick Kennedy about the congressman's stand on abortion. The Congressman then did something stupid, and went public over this issue that the bishop was trying to discuss privately.

Result: Congressman Patrick Kennedy's political career seemed to end at that point... He dropped his re-election bid -- I guess because of the scandal the Congressman created...
