I still have all my Fred campaign cups, stickers, and hat.
The Fifth Amendment does NOT create a privilege nor does it say ANYTHING about a privilege.
The Fifth Amendment merely enumerates a natural right while prohibiting the government from requiring a person to be a witness against himself. It is a RIGHT, not a PRIVILEGE.
Privileges can be taken away. Rights cannot legally be removed.
The government cannot legally require you to be a witness against yourself.
And yes, for those of you who are wondering about taxes, that includes income tax returns. The income tax is unconstitutionally enforced.
When the IRS wants to get you for NOT filing an income tax return, they claim that filing is required.
When the IRS wants to get you for income tax evasion, they use your income tax return against you, claiming that you submitted the tax return voluntarily.
Well... which is it? Required OR Voluntary? You can’t arbitrarily have it BOTH ways. It is either one way or the other.
Excellent analysis by Fred ...
