The Obamacare Insurance Exchange Train Is Already Coming Off The Rails
Forbes ^ | 5/27/2013 | Sally Pipes

Posted on 05/27/2013 8:11:56 PM PDT by neverdem

Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.) raised eyebrows across the country last month when he publicly fretted about an Obamacare “train wreck” as the Administration rushes to implement the many provisions of the law that take effect in 2014...

--snip--

HHS is not just raiding the federal treasury to promote the exchanges. Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is now shaking down corporations and nonprofits to bankroll the Administration’s efforts. She’s solicited donations on behalf of Enroll America, a group headed by former Obama staffers that seeks to aid in the rollout of Obamacare.

Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) postulated that Sebelius’s fundraising may be illegal and has called on the Government Accountability Office to investigate...

--snip--

And Obamacare’s raft of regulations and costly benefit mandates will only drive prices higher. According to a new report from the House Energy and Commerce Committee, major health insurers expect average premiums for individuals to double — and in some cases, to quintuple. Small-business premiums will shoot up anywhere from 50 to 100 percent.

Of course, if premiums increase, the federal subsidies Obamacare established to keep them affordable will have to surge, too. The Congressional Budget Office recently raised expected subsidy costs over the next decade by $233 billion.

The Obamacare train is derailing right now. The only way to stop it from crippling taxpayers, small businesses, the health care system, and the economy is to cut the engine and pull hard on the brakes.

It’s a giant Cloward-Piven program. The logical decision is to buy nothing and either pay or litigate protest the fine. If you pay it, it’s WAY less than a plan, and you can get it right in the emergency room and dump it afterwards.

The Demon Rats are good with it because failure will allow them to throw up their hands and say “Well, guess we need single payer socialized medicine”.

The Republiturds are good with it because they’re led by a blubbering pussy and filled with people all sorts of Republicans bitch about, but will never vote against under the logic they a ‘Rat just MIGHT get the seat if they risk voting for someone else...

The single payer plan.

The government telling me that I must buy something and exactly what that something must be or I will be fined is utter BS.

It would be unconstitutional for the Federal government to fine you for that. They have to tax you for that, just ask the idiot in charge of the US Supreme Court.

I’m not sure about that though, because the fine goes up drastically after two years if I am not mistaken.

It’s cheaper in those two years, but after that, it’s not.

I am very sure about the Republiturd leader being a blubbering pussy though.

*spit on the ground*

He really is the epitome of Republican treachery.

He is a disgrace to his country and to all of mankind.

There are a number of sites in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean that will serve as medical tourism destination. We’re on our way to a two-tier system as they have in other socialized countries like Costa Rica, Great Britain, and even Canada now. There will be great wailing and gnashing of the teeth but we’ll slide into this system in the next 5 years.

Didn’t Forbes just publish an article on how great ObamaCare is in California?

I wouldn't know. I find Forbes links from other websites.

We need to keep the scandals coming. Tie the IRS scandal to the politicization of medicine, etc. This stuff needs real faces, real people and real horror stories.

All politics is local. How many local stories can you run with in every Dem vulnerable race?

What should be done here to get out ahead of the meme change coming is start frequently mentioning that EVERY politician that pushed this and then pipes up for “single payer” to solve the problem later should be sent to prison for a minimum of 25 years as an “exception” to the penalty for treason...

I am for that happening right now anyway, about a number of things including health care and amnesty.

I’d probably also be for skipping the whole 25 year exception.

They don’t deserve any exception, they know exactly what they are doing.

I have definitely had way more than enough of these damn people.
