First of all, how did they know that Obamascare was going to be considered a tax?

Wasn’t that decided by the traitor John Roberts? 3 years later?

How many times did he visit BEFORE it was decided?

This stinks to high hell!

“First of all, how did they know that Obamascare was going to be considered a tax?”

In my opinion this is irrelevant. The IRS was given responsibility for Obamacare compliance not because it is a tax, but because it is the only existing federal agency with the (presupposed) ability and experience to monitor and enforce compliance. If Obamacare had been declared constitutional without “Roberts rule” of it being a tax, the IRS would still administer the collection of “fines” or “penalties” for non-compliance.

Pelosi and Reid could have had the law written to give that responsibility to HHS, but that agency does not have anywhere near the infrastructure and experience to take it on. As it is, the IRS is supposed to need something like 16,000 new employees. It was perhaps supposed that HHS would have needed far more, and still would have had to use the SSN as an identification means.

The IRS was chosen simply because it was convenient.
