The quitters: The Bachmann and Palin pathology
The Hill ^ | 05/30/2013 | Peter Fenn

Posted on 05/30/2013 7:30:16 AM PDT by BuckeyeTexan

It is one thing to raise millions from grassroots activists or appear on record numbers of TV talk shows or give rhetorically charged speeches before adoring crowds – it is quite another to do the hard work of governing.

Both Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin were political lightweights who were full of sound and fury and accomplished very little. Both quit their posts like spoiled children, after meteoric rises that had precious little to do with actually getting anything done.

Both were bad examples of what public service should be all about and both exhibited a certain pathology steeped more in ego and appearance than serious legislating or governing.

Peter Fenn: “I can’t resist comparing these two to Hillary Clinton, a serious and disciplined leader who was a senator of substance sponsoring legislation with nearly three dozen Republicans who voted for her husband’s impeachment. She was known in elective office and as secretary of State as a pragmatic, accomplished, focused public figure.”

Peter Fenn = Demonrat buttboy.

Peter H. Fenn is a Democratic political strategist, consultant, television commentator and owner of Fenn Communications Group, a political and public affairs media firm based in Washington, DC in the United States.

Seriously, what is the point of posting this garbage. Just what, exactly, do you personally have against Bachmann and Palin. You previous posts were equally divisive. You say you contributed financially to Bachmann but deride her for having trouble telling the truth. Just what is your motive and why to you insist on bashing Bachmann?

Lefties complain that politics has become so partisan, yet the foundation of their strategy is Alinsky's Rules for Radicals #5, "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon."

They have created the very situation they pretend to abhor.

Fenn...didn’t Hillary and Obama abandon their positions in the Senate to run for President. They are quitters.

Absolutelty.

8 years is plenty to represent a single district.

Now she’s free to move to Michigan, get to know the place and Run for the Stabenow seat in 2018.

Serving four terms and retiring is not quitting, Fenn. It is called serving and then stepping aside gracefully. It is what more lifelong DC vermin need to do.

Washington DC was supposed to be a place where citizens served and then went back home...not a destination.

Shove it up your collective smelly Obamas, “The Hill” writers.

Those women would have to be dead for weeks for their IQs and leadership abilities to deteriorate to that of your (certainly not my) president.

Obama is slime.

Pure slime.

Flush it...now!

I tried to read this hit piece but couldn't get past this bit:

I can’t resist comparing these two to Hillary Clinton, a serious and disciplined leader who was a senator of substance sponsoring legislation with nearly three dozen Republicans who voted for her husband’s impeachment. She was known in elective office and as secretary of State as a pragmatic, accomplished, focused public figure.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but when the Shiite was hitting the fan on Benghazi didn't Her Royal Thighness claim a brain clot and quit as SoS? Now they're pushing her for POTUS? Really?

I'm sad to see Bachmann go, but to paraphrase Glen Beck , being in congress for any length of time does not make you a better person. If you value your personal integrity you don't stay past one or two terms or the system corrupts you.

This is why the Schumers, McCains and Hillarys of the world NEVER LEAVE.

I’m not bashing Bachmann. This ridiculous “article” shows how much the left hates Bachmann. They want to tie her to Palin, whom they believe they have successfully marginalized. Michele is not quitting anything. She’s served several terms. To label her a quitter is preposterous.

This article is a dirty hit piece. Disgusting Dems up to their usuual behavior. Did this guy do an article about all the Dems who voted for Kenyancare and then retired to K Street? Of course not because this stooge journolister is a goose stepping propagandist.

Yup. She served more terms than FDR. Strange definition of “quitter”.

Palin was being sued into bankruptcy. She could not raise the money to defend herself as governor.

Bachmann may be the same way
