And how many people died as a result of Chernobyl. But wait! We have magic. Not one civilian is going to die because of Fukushima. Even though it is worse in some ways.
Anyone who puts forth information like that does not deserve to be heard.
The majority of victims at Chernobyl died of massive acute exposure to radiation at levels not seen outside the containment at Fukushima.
The levels of radiation that have escaped outside the containment at Fukushima are at levels we’ve already seen from above-ground weapons testing fallout. If the henny-pennies were at all accurate in their predictions of what comes about from radiation exposure and how long it affects the environment, I’d already be dead because I lived for more than a decade in central Nevada, and more to the point, farmed there, which involved ingesting large amounts of dust stirred from the ground in tillage operations.
So you see why I’m a skeptic of these projections.
