Capitol Police to Tea Party: Show Us Your Websites or Forget Your Rally
Gateway Pundit ^ | June 4, 2013 | Jim Hoft

CAPITOL POLICE SUDDENLY WANTS TO SEE TEA PARTY WEBSITES BEFORE PROTEST APPROVED.

And they are taking weeks to grant the request.

The Tea Party Patriots were planning a rally in Washington DC on Wednesday June 19th.

But they ran into a wall.

The Capitol Police want to see their websites first.

Kevin Mooneyhan from the Tea Party Patriots described this latest assault on the Tea Party:

Below is the timeline of events surrounding our June 19th rally at the Capitol. We haven’t done anything to publicize this event yet because we wanted to make sure we had the permit in hand. You know, follow the rules, do the right thing, etc.

Event Date: June 19, 2013 Permit Submitted: 5/22/2013 via fax

Officer Brown contacted me on 5/23 to ask me 2 questions If we would have a banner and if so what the dimensions would be and how we would hang it.

If we were going to have buses and to make sure that we coordinated with Union Station since the Capitol couldn’t accommodate buses.

The impression that I got was that it would likely be approved in a few days. She told me, “Hopefully the next time you hear from me, it will be to let you know that the permit is approved.”

The following Tuesday, 5/28/13 I reached out to Officer Brown for an update....

If you're one of the ones who stayed home or voted third party, YOU might want to think for a change.

Anyone, and I mean anyone who was stupid enough to believe Romney was as bad as this bunch needs their head examined, particularly with all the crap we see now see they have done, and will do for almost four more years.

Doesn’t the Bill of Rights have something to say about this????

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Yeah, read the thread, it's instructive as to how big a moron Norm is and how he never can answer to his own idiocy.

As to calling him a drunk, here is the post I referred to at #44 I think: You backed his supporter (abortion) and called anyone refusing ‘unpatriotic’. That speaks to your own intelligence. Not mine.

If he wasn't drunk, he was simply incapable of writing a coherent sentence, which means terminal stupidity.

Nope. I, like so many others, did go to the voting booth. And Romney still lost.

But unless and until the Republicans turn out someone like Cruz, the base will continue to be less than enthusiastic.

Unfortunately, based on the Republicans’ ‘postmortem’ following the Romney loss, the party bosses seem to agree they need to distance themselves further from the conservative base and pander to the so-called Hispanic vote, avoid ‘pushing away/scaring’ women, and expand the tent to embrace the homosexual crowd.

Again, the fault does not lie with conservatives who want this country back. It lies with the power brokers who continue to make the same mistakes over and over again during elections and in between elections.

I didn't make those decisions. The people we thought would be a step in the right direction for this country were given little to no real consideration.

Finally, how many times did I read/hear Republicans say that if Ron Paul was nominated they will never vote for him; if Sarah Palin won the nomination they would never vote for her! Many, many times throughout the primary season. Would you agree with them or would you beat them over the head because they should vote Republican regardless of their personal opinion?

And for the record, it’s virtually impossible for Romney to be as bad as what we have now. Not a chance.

I believe most others see it as well.

He did lose, most of the base showed up (like me and you), but as we see clearly now, the TEA party and other conservative orgs were neutered by this evil admin. It's those who were stupid enough to NOT show up the between 1 and 2 % that I blame, especially now we see how dirty the other side played. These "purists" should have known better, a RINO squish is not the total evil of this admin, they aren't the same, they're very different. Yet they still preen around as if they did a good thing, I find that despicable.

I was a Palin supporter, but she did not run, I hoped for Newt or Santorum, but they lost.

I found Ron Paul the worst of our candidates, but I STILL would have voted for him to get rid of the Marxist stain.

I am a conservative, I want this country back as much as you do, but we will have to do better in unifying behind a good conservative candidate and simply do enough to win this time.

Most here on FR realized that, JR himself finally realized that, it's those that don't that I find moronic and despicable for preening around as if they did a good thing by not showing up.

Having now conversed, I think we have found that you and I agree on about 99% of things, I appreciate the discourse.

A “few people staying home...”

I don’t disagree with what you’ve written, but that may be a bit over-simplified. For example, I do not recall having a “good” candidate in my lifetime - aside from maybe Reagan’s re-election year. Weak candidates are the standard, not the exception. And weak candidates can win. Believe me.

There is a time to stand on principle and there is a time to remove tyrants. Many made their choice to permit tyranny by abstaining - and they still brag about it. It’s confusing. No one was asking for a real time commitment - just vote out the criminal. However, they held their head high and said, I’m better than that.

Romney received 1.8 million less votes than McCain in 2008.
Obama received 8.5 million less votes than in 2008.

By the popular vote, the Obama victory was around 51 percent to Romney’s 48. Compared to the average Presidential election in the 20th century it shows that this was a tight race.

Swing state turn-out could have shifted the election by as little as 300,000 votes.

Basically, just 5 of 25 presidential elections (1900 - 1999) were decided by fewer than 130 electoral votes. Only 3 of these had a popular vote margin smaller than the Obama-Romney election.

I did not like Romney, but I voted against Obama - the criminal. Many stayed home because the candidate they wanted does not exist on Earth. Obama was then re-elected.

I know you get it. I was playing on your sarcasm for those lurkers who are unable to pick up that sarcasm.

What kinds of people?

One time I was listening to Rush Limbaugh with a liberal (who happened to be one of those who are unable to pick up on such sarcasm). Rush was illustrating the absurd with absurdity and the liberal looked over at me and said “See? Even Rush says that we as individuals cannot be fully trusted to decide what we should do with the money we make.” It’s pretty scary how thick people can be. LOL!

They are ordered to leave, at best case.

Here’s the clincher point I will never forget.

Just take my state of Texas.

Just look at it. Does anyone believe that conservative Texans WANTED Mitt Romney if they could’ve had someone different, better?? Really? A Mormon, a Yankee, a moderate squish?

Texas and Mitt Romney?? NAAAAAHHHH - an impossible fit.

But Texas turned out and Texas voted for the above.

Now turn that around and ask, what if they did what all these types who said, sit on your hands or protest vote, said they should do? What would have happened?

I’ll tell you what would have happened, BARACK HUSSEIN would have won TEXAS, that’s what.

And take other states, in the solid swath that Romney won. Same thing for them. BARACK HUSSEIN would have swept the entire country.

His people in these states would’ve not failed, not a one, and many votes fraudulently cast, to have turned out for him. If our side did not turn out for Romney, you have a landslide like no other for BARACK HUSSEIN.

Anyone who pridefully puts THAT forth as the “thing we must all do” and we’re all horrible for not doing it, has THAT as the legacy their insistent advice would have brought.

NO.WAY.
