Although there is no confirmation process requiring Senate hearings, there is also no reason why the Benghazi Committee of the House of Representatives could not undertake to question Amb. Rice and, in effect, conduct their own confirmation hearings.

But that would take some initiative from Speaker John Boehner and that is certainly to exalt hope over experience.
