It's hard to gauge what words will trigger an overreaction. If it was my son though, I'd warn him against:
reading or even mentioning a magazine at school,
using the word clip, whether in reference to fingernails or hair,
reading "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets",
referring to the broth in soup as stock,
calling that thing people stick keys into a lock, or
mentioning shopping at Target, Cracker Barrel, Crate and Barrel, or carrying one of their bags.
This father needs to muzzle his son and make sure the kid doesn't shoot his mouth off, if they want to avoid another salvo of disciplinary actions. It's not safe to go around half-cocked in a politically correct school district.
