Oh, he could very well be a "true believer of amnesty for illegals". I just think he can't even fake being even somewhat conservative - for his credibility, for some reason. And, to me, that reason has to be blackmail.
Otherwise, why doesn't he just cross the aisle...like Krispie should, and get it over with?
