I haven’t seen the movie, but I understand that the premise is there is one night a year reserved for lawlessness. I don’t own a gun, but under those circumstances I would. I’m not sure “The Purge” is an effective argument against the NRA. The NRA supports the rights of individuals to protect themselves — particularly when the civil authorities won’t do the job.
