Demographics say that any segment of a population which is "more fertile" will eventually become the majority.
On the radio I heard the statement, "More than half of US children will be minorities." I guess that means they won't be minorities anymore.

No that would be sensible Texas is a major minority state. That was an answer on jeopardy this week

The majority is minor
The minorities which are the minority get the scholarships entry and work preference because as minorities they need a break
But they are the majority of the population
