We probably would have said that Assad had crossed the “red line” even if we didn’t have evidence

An unusually damning Kinselyan gaffe, tucked away by Politico inside a story about how circumstances in Syria have supposedly forced Obama’s hand on intervention or something. You would think, in light of the endless criticism of Bush over Iraq, government officials would studiously avoid the impression that they’re using WMD claims as a pretext for intervening in a Middle Eastern country. But here we are:

“The decision was ultimately driven by the discovery Assad used [chemical weapons] but there were a number of other factors in place that were also important,” conceded an administration official with direct knowledge of the deliberations.

“Would we have made [the determination Assad had breached the red line] even if we didn’t have the evidence? Probably.”

Like perhaps to distract from unfolding scandals with Benghazi, IRS, NSA,Boston Bombing, Guns to Drug cartels ...... can’t remember any more of them.

Hey, it’s working!

If there was a red line, you’d think slaughtering Christians would qualify. Of course, then we’d have to intervene against the rebels.

They forget that the ‘rebels’ used chlorine gas repeatedly and first.

And so, we, the USA, are going head-to-head with Russia and China over the Syrian civil war. What’s wrong with this picture.

What does the US gain? Both sides are declared enemies of the US. I don’t give a tinkersdamn about Russia or China, but to butt heads with them over Syria is just plain stupid!!

Did the Muslim Brotherhood (CAIR) dictate this move to Obama’s regime? as they are now appear to be dictating to the FBI and CIA on investigations?? (thinking of Mueller’s testimony in Congress yesterday)

Russia Hits Back at U.S. Over Syria

"We had a meeting with American representatives in which Americans tried to present information to us about the regime's use of chemical weapons, but frankly speaking, the evidence Americans set out looks unconvincing," Yuri Ushakov, the Kremlin's top foreign-policy aide, said Friday, according to Russian news agencies.

It's not our war - not worth a drop of American blood.
